Wagyu beef RUMP CAP Ikebukuro Steakhouse — Restaurant in Tokyo

So this restaurant was really calling to me while walking around exploring the streets shortly after a parade/festival event that happened down the street from here. The rump cut is my favorite cut of steak available so I was very excited to try this place since it looked like it specializes in it! Being wagyu made this place sound a lot more appealing as well, however it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. The cooking time was long but this is explained as soon as you sit down so they get a pass. The nachos are definitely a not recommended. The "cheese" on them feels like cheese from a can. I would skip of possible. The staff was decent so no problems there. The steak itself was just okay. Actually it was great but I have had way better steak in many other places. Also, they only had one song on loop playing at full blast the entire time I was there haha......

I found this restaurant while I was wandering around the area, looking for places to dine. I was attracted by a poster showcasing a roast beef rice ball, and other things like plates of steaks looked good too. It turn out to be a very nice surprise.

All dishes we ordered were tasty and delicious. Special mention to roast beef rice bowl, which is outstanding for its complex taste, tenderness of the beef, and combination of seasoning to the level that matches those reputable restaurants with a long long queue in Japan. Here, the place felt cozy and suitable for a date or hang out with friends.

For a rump steak which is its signature dish, I found it a little bit too chewy, but its taste was great. The food also came out too slow, relative to the number of customer there. Perhaps, they ran short of staffs (only see 1 chef and...

Very good place, not too expensive, but not too cheap to make you wonder where the meat came from.

Steak was well prepared, the fries were awesome.

Service polite, attentive, and pleasant.

Even though we didn't drink, this place would be very good for anyone that enjoys wine with their steak. They had a pretty good wine list, and cheese and fruit to match it.
