Visited in October 2025. Japan 🇯🇵 Tokyo.
We’ve been familiar with the Wagyu Mafia brand for quite some time — we even visited their branch in Hong Kong — so we knew what to expect: top-quality Wagyu and a touch of theatrical presentation. The interior feels like stepping into a friend’s professional kitchen — sleek, intimate, and stylish, decorated in cool gray tones. There are a few seats around a large communal table and more at the counter; there may be additional seating upstairs, though we didn’t check.
FOOD:
This particular branch focuses on Wagyu burgers and Wagyu katsu sando. We ordered their classic burger, both single and double patty versions, to fully appreciate the flavor of the meat.
What amazed us most was how the burgers are made — completely from scratch, right before your eyes. The chef literally takes a cut of premium Wagyu beef, grinds it fresh, forms the patty with just salt and pepper, and grills it to perfection. The result is pure, unadulterated beef flavor — something we had never experienced before. You can taste the difference instantly: no fillers, no trimmings, just 100% quality meat.
The brioche buns were buttery and soft, toasted to a golden crisp on the edges — the perfect complement to the meat. And that’s it — just the bun and the patty. It doesn’t need anything else. Simplicity at its best.
We also ordered their signature sauce on the side and truffle fries. The fries were thin, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, adding a touch of indulgence to an already exceptional meal. The burger itself was phenomenal — juicy, tender, and deeply flavorful — exactly what you’d expect when everything is made fresh to order.
SERVICE:
Service was excellent and personal. It truly feels like visiting a friend’s kitchen — casual yet professional. Even though each burger is made from scratch, the wait wasn’t long, and the chef’s precision and confidence added to the experience.
VERDICT:
This is hands down the best burger in Tokyo. We’ve tried many during our stay, and most were disappointing — often made from mixed trimmings with chewy bits or gristle. But here, you get the purest taste of premium Wagyu beef: tender, juicy, and completely free of sinew. Every bite is worth the price. Highly recommended, and if you plan to visit in the evening, make sure to book a...

Read moreWalked in as a group of 4 at around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to grab the last available seats. We weren't seated at the counter but the place is small enough that everyone can get a good view of the open kitchen.
We ordered 2 truffle fries, a sirloin sando, a chateaubriand sando, a teriyaki burger, the signature big wag burger, 2 cheeseburgers and the wagyu sausage. For drinks, we got coke zero's, ginger ale, a hot coffee and the yuzu ipa. Out of everything we got, I would highly recommend the chateaubriand sando and the yuzu ipa!!! The sando is soooooo good, the absolute highlight of our meal, and the yuzu beer is delightfully refreshing. Don't sleep on the fries either, they're addictive.
The presentation of the burgers and sandos is really fun and entertaining. The chefs and servers want you to take photos and videos, and they don't judge the number of retakes you need. I really appreciate the patient service because it shows that they get that the camera always eats first.
We will definitely be back! Chef told us that there's actually a sister ramen shop too but it's not open on Sundays, so we'll have to try it the next time...
