Yakiniku 2 + 9 — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had a dinner for two, on our last night in Tokyo. The restaurant was at a walking distance to our hotel, and we hadn't tried the japanese barbecue experience yet. What a wonderful idea !

The waiter was adorable, he tried his best all evening to make sure we had a good time, despite our inability to speak japanese, he handed us an english menu, made recommandations and even walked us outside to say goodbye. The waitress who came a few times too to bring us food, was really nice too and showed us how to proceed.

The food was amazing from start to finish. We took the 6000¥ menu. (We regretted not taking the 9000¥, which would've been better in quality according to the waiter, but we didn't have a lot of money left after travelling for three weeks.)

Anyways, it was incredible : First fresh and tasty appetizers. Then, delicious beef sushis, melted in our mouths. After that, we had insanely good meat, that we cooked ourselves (seriously, this was, by far, the best meat we have ever tasted). And then, one last piece of thinly sliced meat, shabu-shabu style, with a bit of rice to finish the sauce. Finally, a very good desert (my boyfriend took the japanese pudding, and I took the chinese pudding, both delicious).

The ambiance was really nice too, some locals were dining there and they seemed to be having a jolly good time, laughing and eating. It was really fun.

We came back to Tokyo for another event and of course we had to come here again! Landed in the morning and this shop was our first dinner. Definitely fulfilled our craving for top quality beef! Would recommend ordering a course. The staff member was super friendly and could speak English. She would ask for our budget per person, but what we get was wayyy above that. Totally amazing experience! Would always come back when we have the chance. 5* all the way.

We had such a wonderful evening! We were so lucky to find this shop nearby our hotel. The owner was super friendly and took great care of us! We couldn't speak Japanese, but he put an effort to communicate with us via a translation app on the phone. He offered to choose the dishes for us. The beef was amazing!
