Yoshinoya Kamiyachō Branch — Restaurant in Tokyo

I loved my experience with the fast food chains in Japan but comparatively this Yoshinoya wasn't as good as the other ones I visited during our trip. This location didn't use tablets like a lot of the other fast food chains so you have to order manually from a person, which creates a bit of a language barrier. Not their fault, but just find the tablet easier to make sure that things are understood. Had a couple misunderstandings, for example me saying I wanted to pay with cash and then the staff selected card instead.

I wouldn't recommend the new beef curry omelette that the menu is offering, as it looked nothing like what was in the picture and honestly wasn't filling at all while it was more expensive than other things on the menu at around 900 yen. One of my favorite gyudon restaurant. Because besides being cheap, this restaurant is easy to find throughout Japan. Especially in big cities. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is the same as the usual Yoshinoya restaurant. The food is delicious as usual. But the service here is good. When I opened the door, I was immediately greeted warmly and asked to sit in the designated seat. This is a really dirty yoshinoya branch when compared to the ones I've been to around Tokyo. Chaotic staffing, multiple plates dropped during our seating. Dirty plates visible on the inner shelves. Dirty plates stacked and fully visible to patrons. No spoons available. The food was also much much slower to arrive than other branches (~15 minutes vs 2-3) Toilet was the first and only dirty toilet I've seen on my whole Japan trip. Dirty menus. Please...
