I should have checked the reviews before coming here. As soon as I stepped in the door I was hit with a massive wave of heat and humidity. It was like walking into a tropical greenhouse with stale humid air. One of the staff looked confused as to what to do until the other staff told them to clear and empty table and let me sit. After waiting and finally being seated, it took a few mins before receiving a menu and another 10 mins before receiving water. I finally ordered some tacos, one of which I ordered without cilantro. It took that staff like 5 mins how to figure out how to make that correction to the QR code order, which doesn't allow for any requests. My order was out in at 13:07 and the correct happened at 13:11. I waited until 13:57 to receive my food. It wasn't even full with one group table totally empty and the bar/counter seating totally empty. And only one time, just before being served did the staff come over and say sorry it's taking so long. Once the tacos arrived, it was a sad sight. Each tortilla was fully loaded with shredded cabbage with minimal amount of meat on top. When I lifted my first taco up, a bunch of water just leaked out all over the plate. The tortilla was quickly becoming super soggy and was impossible to hold with my hands. There was like two tablespoons of ground beef sprinkled on top of the mountain of shredded cabbage. I couldn't finish any of it as you can see in the pictures. It was disgusting. It was a waste of my time and money and I literally left the place and went to the convenience store across the street to get much better food. Do not eat here at all. Go...
Read more“Mexican Food” in Japan…it certainly lives up to the stereotype. The tacos were depressing. I went in without much expectation to begin with — because again, “Mexican Food” in Japan is not to be trusted 9/10 — and my smallest expectations were not met.
My first disappointment was seeing “Parmesan Cheese” on the menu for carnitas tacos…a large enough sin all by itself. I still don’t understand why so many Japanese “Mexican Restaurant” places put parmesan cheese on their MEXICAN food.
Anyway, the tacos were depressing. Cold tortilla, cold meats, and so much coriander heaped on them that that is pretty much all you can taste. The lamb tacos had a Japanese radish paste on them, too.
Three strikes and you’re out. The restaurant should have stuck to doing Italian, as apparently others really love their risotto. The service was fine, as to be expected in most Japanese restaurants.
If you’re looking for Mexican food and you happen to be near here? Do not go. Just go further down the Minatomirai line to MidTown BBQ or...
Read more20230927 - I might never enter this restaurant if my colleague hasn’t taken me here. I’m happy to say that we’re so lucky to have such nice restaurant just close to our office. We have tried the Tacos lunch set. ¥990 to pick up two flavors. My order was lamb and lemonsalt chicken. I have to give a big compliment to their meal, vegetables are fresh, meat is tender, volume is sufficient and price is reasonable. Just perfect! Their tacos might be not typical but mixed up with Japanese style, for example, lemon peels are placed in the wrap, lamb is roasted style. I love that even more than the typical tacos. This is the first restaurant coming to my mind if I’d like to have some light food as lunch! Highly...
