Added 11/4/24 The past few months, I have not enjoyed going to this place so I rarely go there now. The managers are very helpful and respectful and the same goes for most of the bartenders but there are a couple of the female ones who are a bit rude. They definitely act differently toward me and some of my other acquaintances have said the same, but whereas they chose to shrug it off and dismiss it, I do not feel that is the only course of action and that's where this review comes in. A case in point: the last time I went there, I happened to be at the cashless register but was unaware. The female cashier kind of caught an attitude and admonished me but the sign is not located where most customers could readily see it. Also, there are quite a few regulars who go there and they can ruin the atmosphere. There is one 30ish Japanese man, always dressed in a blue outfit, who gets drunk easily, harasses women, and causes trouble in other ways. I've seen him push people's stuff off the chairs, cough on people on purpose and just be totally obnoxious. I've almost come to blows with him. He can get away with it because he's Japanese. Anyone else would have more than likely been barred by now. The place is the main watering hole for a lot of foreign people but it has worn on my nerves and I don't intend to go there in the foreseeable future. Might be nice for someone just passing thru but it can wear on you if you go there fairly regularly. My review from about a year ago is below. Quite a different viewpoint at that time.
Still crowded late on Saturdays but now they close at 2 am. Can usually get a table within about 10 minutes, though. Mostly young crowd with a decent amount of women. Once the staff get to know you, they treat you even better than normally. Good for watching some live Japanese baseball or replays of big soccer, rugby and football games, but it can get pretty noisy in there. Many events involving world championships are shown, and you can have a really lively atmosphere even on Sundays. The terrace side gets pretty hot and humid in summer, but they do have two portable air conditioners around to help limit the swelter. The place is big by Japanese standards, but the space between tables is very tight, and you'll be bumping into people and vice-versa all night.
Happy hour drinks and food are fairly priced, so you can get a large drink and a dish of small pieces of chicken for around 1200 yen. Not too bad. The wait on line is typically less than 5 minutes, even on...
Read moreThe bar is often crowded late at night and especially on weekends and holidays. This is one of the busiest HUBs in Japan and the closest thing you are going to get to a friendly but rowdy city center English Pub on a Saturday night.
Japanese national team matches are shown here but you will need to book ahead of time to to ensure you can get a table if there is a live match being shown.

Served in a basket with a handle and greaseproof as newspaper for authentic image of traditional F&C Portions were adequate not the size you'd get from a UK Chippy but can't fault the food.... 1st time I've eaten fish and chips with...
