This is not a review, this is a warning.
This is the worst buffet I've ever been to in my life. Nothing was the right temperature. The fried chicken was cold, the sashimi was warm. Amazingly, when they brought out new trays of food, they were already luke warm, so they had probably just been sitting back there.
The desserts were bland. Half the stations were out of food. The soups were too salty. The "fondue station" had a plain bowl of cold, congealed nacho cheese. The dim sum was dry and clearly been there for ages (my xiaolongbao resembled porridge inside).
I saw them take the fruit bowl away and when they brought out the replenished plate, the decorative honeydew rind that had just been on that plate was still on there! What! Who knows how long that melon rind has been sitting out exposed to the air. That is disgusting. Why would you even need to do that? It wasn't even cut fancily, just use the rind of the melon you just cut up.
Even the soft serve was bad, which is confusing, because that's just a store-bought mix you dump into a machine with a ratio of water. But it was overly melty and not very sweet or creamy, which makes me think they cut the powder with some milk powder and/or increased the water ratio. The matcha soft serve tastes like they mixed low "culinary"-grade green tea powder into their watered down vanilla.
The selection was poor. Even if everything offered were delicious (none of it was), it still wouldn't be worth what they're asking for. It's like the owners got the buffet owner's guide and stopped reading after the "low value foods that fill up guests' stomachs the fastest" chapter.
They have a pizza chef putting on a show behind the display glass, stretching the dough, pouring out the sauce, etc. Grabbed a slice just as it came out of the oven. It was, much like how I felt after this meal, soggy and pale.
It was also ¥3500 (after 10% discount)! I've had $5 buffets in the US that were better than this. Worse than cafeteria food.
I normally only give out a 1 star review if like the staff was rude to me or something. Staff was fine, but the food was SO BAD.
I got seconds of nothing....
Read moreVery disappointed with my experience here for dinner tonight. Rather than going out like usual to find some dinner we decided to come to this buffet thinking we would get a wide range of foods to try. The options were very poor compared to the Japanese food we have been indulging in over the week, leaving us with eating chicken picked out of a dish, steak (over cooked), chips, some cold pizza and steamed Dumplings (flavourless). Some of the other foods we tried had little to no flavour. We ordered 2 cocktails for ¥770 each, and yet were just served an ordinary mixed drink. We paid almost ¥10,000 for our dinner which is double the price of what we would usually pay going out for dinner, ordering 4 main meals and drinks, and leaving highly satisfied and full. I spoke with the staff and requested for a discount for the food but was denied. I would not recommend dining here and will not return...
Read moreI enjoyed the buffet—it offered a wide range of dishes and was overall very good in terms of taste and variety. However, for vegetarian guests, options were quite limited. Aside from desserts and salads, it was difficult to find fully vegetarian main dishes. If you're not strictly vegetarian, you'll find plenty to enjoy, but those with specific dietary needs might find the...
