Sumas Restaurant — Restaurant in St. Martin

My wife and I visited Jersey for the first time, we booked a table in Sumas restaurant 13th September 2023. Our dining experience was ruined by a member of staff, her demeanour was very dry borderline rude. We spoke to another member of staff about her rudeness and she apologies for her and said she had recently received bad news. I feel this is unacceptable as you do not get a second chance to make a good impression. Our meal was in the vicinity of £240 pounds and to receive such shoddy customer care was unacceptable. We will not be dinning in Sumas in the future, a shame, food was good, location good, one member of staff ruined...

Their is absolutely nothing I did not love about sumas in Gorey! The staff are amazing beautiful people who are very friendly! The food oh the food iv never eaten such amazing food every bite was simply a joy course to course right to the end. That bread wow that bread i can't even begin to say how amazing that bread was I want to buy a whole loaf! It was truly a pleasure to eat there thank you so much for having us Peter said it was the best meal ever so thank you again we will be back

Highly recommend eating hear if...

Booked a table for 2. The vegetarian menu left little choice. I ordered the Aubergine and Corgette Tart. Simply awful, burnt and tasteless. My husband ordered the Smoked Haddock Chowder. Not the conventional meal. Tasteless and much too loaded with Sweetcorn. Dessert for me was the orange brioch. Surprise - burnt almost black. The poor quality, indeed burnt, brown food was mentioned to the male waiter. His response was arrogant and clever, only interested in receiving payment. Would not recommend this...
