Harat's Pub on Panfilov Street — Restaurant in Almaty

Unfortunately…we entered, talked to the staff behind the bar about seating, sat down, waited for a server that never came. I went back to the bar and discovered it’s self service, so I took a menu back to my table and we decided on drinks and dinner. When I went back to the bar to order, there was a party of 6 looking at the menu. Three staff members were behind the bar so I asked one of them to place my order. I was referred back to the six people looking at the menu. I asked them if they were still deciding on what to order—they were, so I asked again to place my order since I had decided on our meals. It was a great place. However the prices are quite high, and the range of alcohol is basic. The glass of wine ordered was probably around 30 to 40 ml, and you can only order at the bar, there was no table service, the live musicians were excellent musicians, but the volume of the music was way to high, to the point of not being able to hear yourself.

Looks the part but they need irish or at least English speaking staff, it's a shame as it had the makings of a nice pub, btw no cider and they don't know what a shandy is, no one was drinking Guinness so gave a miss and ended up with a German beer lol which was lost...
