Papa John's Pizza — Restaurant in Almaty

First, understand that there is no such thing as good pizza in Almaty. Your standard fare is undercooked dough, extremely skimpy toppings, poorly applied sauce and the whole pie dripping with the most abundant ingredient in Kazakhstan... oil. On the plus side, most pizza in the city is very cheap. Get what you pay for, I guess. Sadly, it seems that none of the restaurant owners or pizza chefs have ever had the opportunity to travel abroad and sample the many variations of delicious pizza available around the world. Every pizza here is the same sad, soggy, tasteless imitation of someone's misguided idea of a pizza that they attempted to replicate with nothing other than a picture for guidance. Restaurant pizza in Almaty is in a two way tie with frozen pizza from the supermarket, both vying for first place in the Pizza Special Olympics. That being said, Poppa John's is probably at the front of that disabled race. The pizza is inconsistent at best but if you're lucky and go on a good night you can get a decent pie. Don't expect to get decent food every time you go. In my experience you will get a presentable and edible pizza about 50% of the time. But it's still better than anything else in Almaty. Since the choices are so limited and all pizza here is garbage, I give Poppa John's a very generous 3 stars which is 2 stars more than I'd give any other pizza place here. Eat it while it's hot because once it gets cold you'll just be chewing on cardboard. The best thing I can say about it is that it's not usually dripping in oil and it comes with a delicious garlic sauce that you can use to cover the lack of delicious toppings. This is an experience of delicious pizzas , but the one thing that brings dismay is that no one can speak English, though they try to , but after all not a very good place for vegans, you'd only get a cheese pizza , but the one I got was not so crispy but more or less half-baked . Ничего не предвещало разочарования...Делали заказ на сайте, пришло письмо на почту с подтверждением заказа, информацией что заказ был принят филиалом Атакент. Спустя час, решили уточнить о стадии готовности нашего заказа. По номеру ответила девушка сказала,что не может найти наш заказ в базе. Попросила подождать,сказала что перезвонит. Минут 10 спустя она перезванивает и сообщает,что заказ не попал в базу( стоило перезванивать?) Спрашивает переоформить ли его нам,мы уже растроенные соглашаемся. Она подтверждает информацию и говорит что в течение часа заказ доставят. Ок, ждём. Ещё через час нам звонит другая девушка и говорит : "ВАШ ЗАКАЗ НЕ ПОПАЛ В БАЗУ, готовы ли вы ожидать ещё час?!".🤨Люди, вы серьезно?! Моему возмущению нет предела. Пару вопросов: 1.Зачем делать заказ на сайте если он у Вас не попадает в базу и необходимо звонить Вам? Как работает система?Письмо Ваша система прислала с подтверждением заказа, а в базу он не попал.Крайне странно..
