Traveler`s Coffee — Restaurant in Almaty

Nice cafe with some tasty pastries. My traveling companions enjoyed the coffee and their pastries as well. They have a pretty broad section of western deserts and breakfast options. It definitely doesn't feel like Kazakhstan in this place, more like a super hip European cafe. The one issue I had was the slow service, people were doing things, but no one was really doing anything with a purpose. At this point I had spent weeks in central Asia and I was accustomed to the pace of life and service in the stans, but this place was even slow by Central Asian standards. It took 5 different people for me to get a cheesecake out of a case 3 inches from me. 1 person to take the order, one to ring it up, one to take it out of the case, 1 to re-plate it and one to deliver it, and each person had a different job in the chain. As a side note to this there were 9 people working and there were 5 people in the cafe including the 3 of us. People were nice, but just super slow, though the quality made up...

We came early in hopeful to grab a substantial breakfast, which turned out to be the worst experience so far. So,

The omelette I ordered was served without the rocket siding as described and the green peas were all dried and shriveled up. Not tasty either. When I asked for the rocket, I was even willing to take it on a plate without going to trouble of having the cook prepare a new plate. What the waiter brought was both insulting and ridiculous - three or four spurs of rocket on a tiny plate! Whilst the rocket issue, my friend's omelette arrives. And she finds a hair in the siding of avocado salsa(((

The administrator obviously apologized and offered desserts, which we refused since we are on healthy diet.

We left paying for the drinks and reserved not to set foot there again. Sorry, no...

я сегодня была в шоке от данного заведения! Хозяин заведения в зале за соседнем столиком сушил свои подмышки феном, администратор с официанты вели себя так буд-то это вполне себе обыденная ситуация! 😱 На мое замечание, меня обозвал не цензурной речью, выгонял якобы я не выгодный посетитель, тк у меня на столике был только сок. В итоге я рассчиталась и вышла на улицу, позвонив в 102. Через 20 мин я вернулась с участковым, он тут же накинулся с обвинениями, что я якобы его выгоняла и материла его. Собрал вокруг себя якобы свидетелей, посетителя (своего приятеля) которого даже не было в тот момент конфликта, официанта и с такими словами что он больше наберет свидетелей, и напишет встречное заявление. Затем участковый сказал что мое заявление уйдет в суд сразу, он испугался и сразу поменял свое мнение, начала извиняться и обещать мне скидку -50% на последующие приходы. Предлагал сразу ужин за счет заведения. Спустя час, участковому позвонила женщина и представилась хозяйкой, а мужчину данного она не знает, по ее словам он посетитель заведения! Во что мне мало верится! Вывод такой я больше ни ногой в это кафе! И никому не советую, оказывается владелец относится к посетителям как к скотам!!! От сюда и вывод почему меню и ремонт не меняется с годами, и кофе отвратительное, и качество еды низкое и цены завышены!!! На фото тот самый...
