Trattoria Restaurant — Restaurant in CBD division

DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I tried to give -0- stars, but it wouldn't allow me. We were targeted and had our belongings stolen from our table. WHILE WE WERE STITTING THERE EATING! The hostess (pregnant lady) allowed someone to walk past the security, our server (Patrick) allowed this THIEF to sit directly behind us. He did not have a menu nor did he place an order and stayed there for 5 mins before another lady (both were dressed in white) joined the THIEF, at which point walked out, passing Patrick, without ordering anything and with our belongings that was stolen from underneath our table from between the feet of my companion. Ironically, this THIEF, looked identical to Patrick and made eye contact with him before being allowed to leave. We asked for a manager, anyone who could help. THEY. DID. NOTHING. We asked to see the footage. THEY. DID. NOTHING. You have completely destroyed this trip to Kenya after traveling 22 hours to get here only to spend tomorrow trying to obtain a new Passport, cancelling credit cards, and all the other activities associated with identity theft. Your company, staff and leadership should be ashamed for allowing something so brazen to happen in your establishment. We will conduct ourselves with class and respect in handling this matter, but don't think for one second that we aren't aware of what happened. As a business, you represent Nairobi, Kenya. How you treat your customers is a representation of how visitors are handled. I will be contacting the general managers of every Hotel in the Downtown area and sharing this experience so that no other tourists will have to endure the experience we have. You...

I’ve eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. Until now!! Indifferent service, menu simplistic and a wine list like a roadside cafe. Rare steak arrived medium!! Tiny portion of veg and fries for the 1500 price tag. No beers apart from the ubiquitous EABL tusker, white cap and Heineken. Where is the Tusker Premium, the Hop house or even Keroche beer??? My steak was medium (a word I never utter) tiny portion of fries ( 28 I even counted them I was so shocked). My dining companion had the seafood spaghetti- prawns , squid and octopus or so we were told. The octopus must have escaped as it never arrived. I’m not sure if this place has changed hands but the service and food have all gone downhill from my last visit. This Italian restaurant has been serving guests for 40 years, remarkable. So you would expect some reviews are a bit negative. I've been here twice, but this was the best. Not a lot of guests but the atmosphere here is just great. Entering gives you respect for this establishment. And our visit just acknowledged that. It was in the afternoon, so we just wanted something easy to eat. We shared a pizza, I had 1/2 liter of wine, my beautiful wife had a beer. Staying at the restaurant for 2 hrs, leaving with a bill of 8000 kshs was worth it. 👌 By the way, what's on the menu, is what you can buy. Marvellous place. I'll be back shortly.
