This is my first time in Kenya and today is my last day here. Apart from Nairobi, I visited Maasai Mara, Eldoret, Kisumu, Iten and passed by Narok. My point is, I've been to more than one place, and I gave my best to experience the most I could in the 10 days I'm here. The restaurant was literally the worst experience from my trip, I'd put it number 1 most Horrible services in my life... ever! The waitress was super impolite, slow and was looking at us with bad eyes. The food was not great either. P.S. I gave them 5 stars for the atmosphere, because I want to be fair. The music was nice (though mostly not Kenyan) and the place, as a whole, is not bad. P.S.2... I'm adding a pic of a fire they are using for heating as a proof I've been there, and you can also see time/date. Cheers and avoid, if possible!

Came here to eat on a Monday evening at 9pm, the place was almost completely empty except for a few small tables. The food is good, but the service is a disaster. We waited over an hour for two meat dishes and two veg sides. I asked if the food is done and he told me “almost”. To ask a second time, i had to walk up to the kitchen window to ask if the food was done, as the waiter only floated past our table a few times all night. They mistakenly added a dish to my bill, which i requested that they remove. At least they did. I can forgive a lengthy wait if the place is busy but this was an empty Monday night. If you’re ready to spend a few hours there drinking and chatting and have no rush to eat, it’s fine, otherwise expect long waiting times and cold service.

So, we just ordered food here at coco jambo for delivery, 1kg Beef Choma Marinated, Fried Managu and Ugali. First the positive things, the food arrived well packaged and very hot, the fried managu and the ugali were well made, now for the negative the beef choma was of extremely poor quality, starting with the smell, which was very strong, then the consistency, the meat was so tough that I couldn't and didn't want to eat it. someone should show them how to cook meat so that it becomes tender and not rubbery. Won't eat here again.

The location is ideal, the setting, nice. The set up allows for privacy or to feel a part of a group as you desire. These are usually the hardest elements to find in a venue .. the easiest is usually the staff and the service, somehow coco jambo has failed miserably at selecting a welcoming, service oriented staff. I'm sure I could receive warmer and better service from death row inmates. Last but not least anything you order from the grill .. well let's just say I hope you have time to watch trees grow and seasons change. Any inquiries about your order is met with blank stares. ...
