Good food! Let's start there. I like that the food tastes authentically Ethiopian/Eritrean - very delicious! The chef does the food justice. I would highly recommend this joint, singularly on the food alone. Go with the platters if you're in a party/group - the single portions seemed somewhat sparse. Ambience is unpretentious - another thing I liked - a restaurant that doesn't oversell itself on looks or underwhelms on food. What's not to like! It's simple, no overstated decor, no frills. In many ways, I feel that it also makes the experience a lot more authentic. The owner(s) may perhaps eventually feel the pressure to move to a more upmarket location that can better address parking needs (since the compound felt a bit small), and also attract a more exclusive clientele. I think we showed up on a slow night but the wait staff were attentive and eager to serve, even if it seemed the evening was somewhat slow.
