I had the pleasure of dining at Unseen for the first time, and I must say, it truly lives up to its name as a hidden gem. This spot offers spectacular views of the beautiful Nairobi :) I was there for a solo date, and the ambiance was perfect for a peaceful evening. My server, the lovely Dennis, was phenomenal. He was attentive and genuinely keen on ensuring I was comfortable throughout my visit, which made the experience more enjoyable. The food - absolutely finger-licking! I indulged in the butter chicken served with rice, and it was simply delicious. The flavors were rich and satisfying. To accompany my meal, I had a glass of wine that perfectly complemented the flavors. The prices are fairly priced for the portions and flavor, making it a great value for a satisfying meal. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for delicious food without breaking the bank! Unseen definitely deserves more recognition, and I can’t wait to return for another delightful meal and those stunning views. If you’re looking for a unique experience in Nairobi, this is the...

But after sitting (I was so hungry by the way, unrelated but I had had a v light brekkie at it was past 4 pm). Anyway, after sitting a while without being acknowledged, I decided to enter Google Maps and thumb through the one star reviews. Unsurprisingly, the one stars were heavy with "if you are not palm coloured, you don't get served, or you get bad service" 😳
Anyway, guess who high tailed it out of there as an unwitting server finally tried to get my attention. All he saw was dust, as I left and went to a nearby eatery to break my fast.
Anyway, another one star review from a non palm coloured individual, echoing my similarly complexioned colleagues. They way too loud on Ig how good the food is...
Read moreWe had no idea what to expect being in Nairobi for the first time but the combination cinema and rooftop sounded cool. It was even better than that since the bar on it's own is worth a visit and the food was gooood! The bites were exactly what we were looking for but the other food on the tables looked very good too and apparently the owners are Dutch (like us) - which explains the 'bitterballen' on the menu! :) A Dutch delicatesse... Prepared by a woman in Nairobi that learned to make them in a Dutch hotel, didn't see that one coming! A nice mix of people who were there that Saturday and we felt welcome and had a nice time. With a great view! Next time we come and...
