It was an amazing experience for our mixed family, Vietnamese wife and Kenyan in-law, with special allergy diet.

We wanted to treat and give new experience to our Kenyan mom on her birthday, at the same time quenched my craving for Vietnamese food. It went above and beyond our expectations.

The owners greeted us with care and thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. My choice was obviously Pho and it was just what I needed, very flavorful broth. My Kenyan family was also very happy with other shared- dishes, and dessert, chè chuối. They were also conscious of our allergy requirements.

It located in a nice neighborhood with a city view from 11th floor. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. Highly...

I had an amazing experience at Happy Tembo, a Vietnamese restaurant on the 11th floor of Jamii Towers in Upper Hill, Nairobi.

The owner was very friendly and explained the menu in detail, which was a nice touch. The staff were also welcoming.

I tried the Pho Beef soup and Phad Thai, which were both delicious. The Phad Thai, with stir-fried rice noodles, prawns, egg, bean curd, bean sprouts, ground peanuts in a tamarind and fish sauce dressing, was especially good. For dessert, I had the Banana tapioca, which was a perfect end to the meal.

The restaurant’s interior is amazing and offers a great view of the surrounding.

Overall, I highly recommend Happy Tembo for its tasty food and...

One of the best restaurant in Nairobi. It’s Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. The Vietnamese French owner Liem, his service is full of hospitality. Food is amazing (Chao Tôm is to die for) , the view from 11th floor is beautiful and cleanliness is perfect. Never disappoints. You can order from an alacarte menu or course meals. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and on public holidays. You should book at least one day in advance of your visit. Free parking (Gate to car parking is behind the building. Off Upperhill links road) Cash payment / Mpesa (send money) would be appreciated. It might also ok to go just for tea. I’ve seen some business men came just for tea or meetings...
