Not only the food, but also the view from @peppertreekenya is to die for 😍
They are located at Delta, Westlands just above Nyama Mama ke.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We had made a reservation for a space on the rooftop, but we opted to dine inside the restaurant coz of the ambience. They were kind enough to get us space of our preference and sit us down.
Their menu is not diverse, therefore limited menu items to choose from, which we thought was okay as it gives them the upper hand to perfect on their meals.
Ordered their Sweet Soy Chicken wings as a starter, the wings were sweet, crispy and the distinct flavor from the roasted sesame seeds made them so scrumptious
Mains: 1. Snapper the first tip to a yummy catch is on its freshness and I appreciate that's what was served on my plate. I had the red snapper with fried rice and also comes with 2 sauces and pickled carrots. The snapper was well cooked, buttery and moist. It was well seasoned, the samba chile sauce had it for me!! Spicy, sweet and absolutely delicious. The fried rice was also spicy and good. Pork Ribs served with sweet potato fries, he wanted to switch that to french fries, but they don't do kawaida fries😬 the meat was too tough and dry, would have preferred them juicy, but I loved the bbq flavor. We weren't feeling the sweet potatoes, would recommend them to have a choice of normal fries for anyone who would prefer otherwise. He couldn't finish his, he rarely touched them. The slaw was nothing to write home about, it was so bland, I prefer my slaw sweet. (Ps. Not pictured) they have vegetarian options, one of us ordered their Ginger Braised Tofu and the Pepper tree burger, they all looked scrumptious. Generally, the food was amazing, flavorful, well presented, very generous portions 👌 Main meals and burgers range from 1300/= to 1800/= ksh The food service is on point and they maintain good hygiene standards. @peppertreekenya thank you...

Read moreI hope this honest review enlightens someone. First and foremost, peppertree does not have a sign board outside you might get lost on where the entrance is and the google map can be abit misleading. Second, reading the lowest reviews on here, I think they’ve improved on service. There are friendly servers, well at least the one that served us was nice as well as the lady who received us at the entrance.
Third and most importantly, most of the food we ordered tasted horrible! I mean horrible!! I ordered some vegetable rice which was very salted. I complained about it and they swapped it with spiced rice and this too wasn’t any good either. My friend who ordered chicken curry complained about it too. When I tasted it myself, it had a weird rotten taste (kwa umbali). She complained about it too and was told it’s because it had coconut milk in it (highly doubt that’s why). It just tasted weird and very tasteless as well.
Now onto the good. The ambience is really good. I loved the hanging climbing plants, the lighting and their choice of music which wasn’t loud. Also, their salted caramel milkshake is to die for 😍. The only nice meal of the order we made was the grilled chicken. So if you’re to visit, let it not be for the food rather than for the salted caramel milkshake and maybe the ambience. They’ll really disappoint your tummy. I’m surprised 2 years down the line they still get negative reviews on the food but barely do anything about it.
Overall, it’s a nice chill spot and if you’re planning to stay a while book a reservation. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this place and I would also not be going back unless I’m going specifically to have that...
