Brew Bistro Fortis — Restaurant in Nairobi

I had an incredible time at Brew Bistro in Nairobi! Despite not being a luxury venue, the atmosphere was undeniably one of the best I've experienced in the city. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant energy of the crowd and the pulsating music set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The charm of Brew Bistro lies in its ability to create a welcoming and exciting ambiance that transcends any notions of luxury. The place exudes character and authenticity, and it's evident that people come here to have a genuinely good time. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the positive vibe of the place.

The music selection was on point, and the dance floor was alive with people enjoying themselves. The variety of drinks on offer, including their own brewed beers, added to the overall experience. What stood out most was the sense of camaraderie among the patrons; strangers became friends as we celebrated the night together.

The Sunday brunch is definitely something to experience. It's a fun experience that has you tasting many items you normally wouldn't order. First of all please forgive the photos that are heavily filtered. I tried so many things I can hardly list but I'll mention my favourites. Their rice noodles were tasty. The veggies in it were very compatible with it and they weren't overcooked. The chicken taco was flavourful, probably my favourite of all the food I tried. They didn't have cheese, which was a concern with me when the chicken wrap I tried had cheese. From the deserts I only enjoyed the chocolate coated strawberries. The cakes had been sitting there for a while so they weren't as tasty as they could've been. The Spanish something cocktail was lovely I totally enjoyed it amongst them all. We were also given a complimentary glass of juice for the brunch. The only things I didn't enjoy were their potato salad, chicken nuggets and pizza. It could be a thing with my taste buds so go try them...

The beer is pretty terrible. I've tried three. First time the beer tasted soapy, all of them on the sampler. Quite sure this is from not cleaning the brewing equipment correctly. Working/managing at a startup brewery previously, we suffered the same issues but poured the beer out instead of serving it.

Second time around today and the beer had almost zero flavor. None of the styles they made were correct in their tasting. Needs quite a bit of work on it. Additionally, they were all flat. Not sure if they are force carbonating, assume so. Need to spend more time at the right temperature or get better equipment.

Might take some time to get to a "craft brewery" but they're starting so hopefully others will follow.

The burgers weren't that great either and the chips/fries were a serious joke. Don't let water in, even a water bottle from home. Overall stupid rules.
