A star for the location. Near the main road and very close to the psv bus stop making it accessible to everyone. A star for the ambience, large space with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The place is clean, the loos are adequate and clean. A star for the service. The waitress was warm and helpful. As for the menu and food not sure how to rate it. The menu is a mix of Indian, Pan Asian and there are a few pastries and baked goods as well as a pizza, pasta menu. If you like alcohol, they have an extensive menu. As for us the tea and coffee drinkers, that menu is no different from all the other restaurants and coffee shops dotted all around the area. They, however, have none dairy options as well as gluten free options plus a vegetarian menu. I settled for a hot chocolate with Almond milk. It was okay. Nothing exceptional. I found the prices to be quite steep for just breakfast so, I did not order any food. I don't know if I would come back because I think that the prices don't make sense for the portions and suspect that there will be nothing extraordinary about the food. If you feel like splurging, this could be a great...
Read moreUpdated: Last time we ate there we both got really sick afterwards. The chicken kebabs looked a bit funky and we only had a couple of bites before we threw it away. The baba ganoosh tasted strange as well, like it was blended with something else and then drenched in cumin to cover it up... I also saw a cockroach climb out of the kitchen. Don't think we'll be coming back after this.
One of the best interiors I've seen at a restaurant/bar in Kenya. It looks like it could be a Deli somewhere in New York. This is a place where you sit down at your table and then order from any of the restaurants in the venue. Kind of like a food court, but a lot more upscale.
The food is a bit hit or miss, some meals are really good, other are quite bland, It will take you quite a few visits before you've learned what you like. A good place to start would be the flamegrilled chicken or something else from Fireplace.
One thing that is horrible though is that 500 ml of sparkling water will set you back 350 Ksh which is utterly insane to...
Read moreWe decided to go to the Delta Corner to the Urban Eatery. . The ambiance is amazing , with safe parking and comfortable seating. Service is with a smile and efficient. Bar does not have all the cocktails they show on the menu. The restaurant is pricey, and the portions are small for the prices they serve. My lamb chops were like streaky bacon on a bone. The chips were countable, and the surprising issue is that the menu says BIG PLATE . I was surprised when I got a big plate(12') and food was 2 ribs and 18 pieces of chips. Asked for more chips and were charged for the extra plate. The children had the burger and again tasty but small portions... 4 dishes 1 corona 1 bottle of water 3 sodas came to bill of Ksh.9000 for 3 of us. The head chef and manager tried to justify the portions but quickly turned to apologising as they saw my 2 lamb chops were just fat on bone. Unfortunately, I will not be going back soon . Please ask before you order the size of the meal. You could leave with a big bill for small food in their BIG PLARE on the...
