So, we visited Romo for our wedding anniversary and it definitely was perfect for our celebrations. Location: perfectly situated and you can't get lost. Parking: lots of parking available. Ambience: Beatifull smooth not loud music, picture perfect interior, very comfortable seats. Staff: They were very professional , well trained , very patient and walked us through our food choices and gave recommendations. Price: Surprisingly not over exaggerated. It was very fair. Food: My wife had the beef short ribs - These were perfectly cooked(very tender), bbq sauce was sweet. Her side was paprika fries - There was nothing out of the ordinary here(she did not like them). I had Rib-eye steak - I'm not a lover of red meat but I enjoyed this. Perfect medium rare for most of the portion but was abit disappointed when I got close to the bone. It got bloody and chewy. For my side I had sweet potato mashed - This was perfectly smooth and creamy. The sauce had a mushroom base which was excelente for me. For Dessert the staff brought to use a blue berry cake with an anniversary message and a song. It was just joyous and we got to have a small dance. The evening was summarised with awesome photos around the restaurant.
Summary: I would definitely go back to sample more food. Recommend you make a reservation before visiting to get best experience and inform them if its for a special occasion so that they can plan...
Read moreIt was my first time at Romo House, and based on reviews I was looking forward to it.
Typically, I can't finish full food portions at restaurants. At Romo, I shared 2 appetizers with my friend. I followed that with the main course of Sea Bass, which was amazing. However even for me, the portions were small. So, if you are a heavy eater, you may want to consider add ons.
Few other points.
There is a outdoor dining area, which is enclosed at street noise at bay.
There is sliding door that separates the dining area from the lounge. It made me nervous watching the waitress open the door with her food while carrying a tray. They should rethink the sliding glass door. Maybe automatic.
The blueberry cake was two layers of white cake with a blueberry reduction between the layers. I was expecting blueberries mixed into the cake.
Finally, the only way to view the menu is with a QR code or from a phone. They should have a alternative hard menu for those who prefer to see...
