UPDATE
the unfortunately increase the prices from 3000 to 3500 and I do not see that justified. it was a good option before but unfortunately I will have to take my business elsewhere. the quality is still good but it is not good enough to warrant this increase.
this is a good buffet restaurant, and I have been looking for buffet restaurants for quite some time. the buffet is reasonably priced at 3,000 Kenyan shillings for the buffet with meat options and 2,000 Kenyan shillings for the vegetarian buffet. they have very good service from side of the manager as well as the Indian chef which doesn't really speak good English but it's not relevant because he is so kind and it's not faked. service got a bit irritated by some of the questions I have been asking which were reasonable questions, it wasn't really a bad experience but this is something that should be improved on. someone first has to understand the buffet system especially if it follows a certain structure so it would be good if service could give appropriate answers to that. I have not always been explained which dish is which for the status that they are bringing to the table so this is something to be improved but most of the times they mentioned it. they also asked me if I wanted more of any of the items which I think was great. they follow a buffet system where you are being served starters and accompaniments which includes grilled meats on skewers and different Indian starters both vegetarian and not, and after that, even though you will already likely be full, You can have some of the curries that are on the buffet table. the race and none that you can have as an accompaniment is made fresh and they follow your instructions if you have anything specific which is great. however unfortunately I have to say, in as friendly as the chef is and I really have liked this guy, the quality of the curries isn't very good, it isn't bad either but it's definitely average and there are spices missing and I'm not talking about making it more spicy but having some sort of flavorful experience, especially if you call this the main of the buffet on the card. but then again, the desserts are great and most likely you are already going to be full after the starters so it's not that much of a big deal but once more if you're calling something a main dish it needs to have main dish quality. I really feel like the starters are actually the main dish which is perfectly fine but it feels a bit confusing if you understand what I mean. another thing to improve is definitely the fat content of the vegetarian starters, some of the vegetarian starters were nearly in edible because it was just too much fat that was soaked into the vegetable mass. please improve on that. in any case I would definitely recommend this dining experience especially for buffet fans and if you like to switch up the known places. I'm definitely going to be back and then I will update my review if there are any changes. thank you for giving me a good experience and I'm looking forward to dining with you again. I have attached some pictures...

My recent experience at Barbecue Nation was, to put it mildly, a complete disaster. From the outset, our group regretted choosing this restaurant for dinner. We opted for the vegetarian buffet, hoping for a flavorful and enjoyable meal. Sadly, what we received was far from it.
With the exception of one solitary sweet dish, the entire buffet was shockingly horrible, tasteless, and frankly pathetic. We initially chalked it up to a bad night and tried to remain optimistic, but the situation only deteriorated.
Later in the evening, the chef inquired about our experience, giving us an opportunity to provide honest feedback. We politely explained that the food simply wasn't good and lacked flavor. This is where the real trouble began.
Following dinner, the restaurant manager approached us, not to apologize or understand our concerns, but to argue about our dissatisfaction. His explanation was baffling and, frankly, insulting. He claimed that Barbecue Nation, despite being an Indian restaurant chain, doesn't serve "Indian food" but rather food tailored to a non-Indian palate. He even went so far as to say their spices weren't Indian and that we were wrong to judge them based on Indian culinary expectations.
This bizarre defense felt like a complete disregard for customer feedback and a refusal to take responsibility for the poor quality of the vegetarian buffet. The manager essentially told us we were wrong for expecting good Indian food at an establishment that clearly markets itself as an Indian barbecue restaurant!
Ultimately, my experience at Barbecue Nation was deeply disappointing. The food was atrocious, the service was confrontational, and the explanations were illogical. I strongly advise anyone considering this restaurant, especially for vegetarian options, to look elsewhere. You'd be far better off exploring authentic Indian restaurants or even Kenyan restaurants for a more satisfying and genuinely welcoming dining experience. This experience was a true shame, and reflects poorly on the restaurant and its management.
At last the manager should go to the hotel management school and learn on how to run a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Barbeque Nation in Nairobi, and I must say, it was an experience that left a lasting impression on me. As someone who has visited Barbeque Nation in India and Dubai before, I was excited to see how the Nairobi branch would compare, and I was not disappointed.
From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff at Barbeque Nation Nairobi are not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive. Their genuine warmth and hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience, and I felt welcomed and valued throughout my visit.
Now, let's talk about the food. The authentic taste of the dishes at Barbeque Nation is simply unparalleled. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, and I could tell that the chefs put a lot of effort into ensuring that every dish is cooked to perfection. What's more, the taste at Barbeque Nation Nairobi has a unique twist that sets it apart from other branches. It's no wonder that the food here is so highly regarded.
But what truly stood out to me was the owner's kindness and generosity. Not only does he run a fantastic restaurant, but he also goes above and beyond to ensure that his guests are well taken care of. I had an unforgettable experience when the owner personally ensured my safe return to my hotel by arranging for his own staff to accompany me. This act of humanity and care is something that I will never forget, and it speaks volumes about the character of the owner and the values that he instills in his team.
Overall, my experience at Barbeque Nation Nairobi was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious food to the friendly staff and the owner's genuine kindness, every aspect of my visit was truly memorable. I cannot recommend Barbeque Nation Nairobu highly enough to anyone looking for an unforgettable...
