I recently visited Daily Cafe and Bistro for an evening meal and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered the Chicken Milanese Pasta, Masala Fries, and a Spicy Tuna Sandwich, followed by a slice of New York Cheesecake for dessert.
The Chicken Milanese Pasta was a delightful combination of tender, breaded chicken served over a bed of perfectly cooked pasta with a rich, flavorful sauce. The Masala Fries added a unique twist to the meal, with their spicy seasoning providing a satisfying kick. The Spicy Tuna Sandwich was equally impressive, with fresh tuna and just the right amount of spice, making it a standout dish. The New York Cheesecake was the perfect end to the meal, creamy and smooth with a classic graham cracker crust.
The service at Daily Cafe and Bistro was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing prompt and efficient service throughout the evening. Their professionalism and courteous demeanor enhanced the overall dining experience.
Considering the high quality of food, generous portion sizes, and the exceptional service, Daily Cafe and Bistro offers excellent value for money. Prices are reasonable for the location, and the café often runs promotions and discounts that provide additional value.

Read moreTL;DR: Daily Cafe disappoints with poor service, showing little regard for customer complaints and exhibiting rude behavior. The staff's inattentiveness led to wrong orders, highlighting their incompetence. The place lacks basic hospitality, and customers should take 5-star reviews with caution. I would especially not recommend it for people with disabilities due to the evident lack of accommodation and understanding. Complaints seem to fall on deaf ears at the Daily Cafe, as my recent experience there was nothing short of a complete disappointment. The overall experience was marred by poor service and a shocking lack of consideration for people with disabilities.
From the moment I walked in, the wait staff seemed more preoccupied with their own conversations than attending to the needs of the customers. It took an unacceptable amount of time for our orders to be taken, and even the waitress attending to us was shockingly rude when we brought up their poor service, she responded with an appalling degree of dismissiveness and rudeness, showcasing a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and any semblance of regard for customer satisfaction.
To make matters worse, the staff's lack of attention to detail was blatantly evident when, to my utter disbelief, they carelessly served me an entirely different order from the one I had painstakingly requested, showcasing an alarming level of incompetence and disregard for the simplest of customer instructions.
The lack of attentiveness, the dismissive behavior, and the apparent lack of training among the wait staff reflect poorly on the management's ability to maintain even a basic level of hospitality. It's truly disheartening to witness a complete disregard for the customers' dining experience.
PS: I would advise taking 5-star reviews with a grain of salt, considering that expecting even the most basic hospitality and customer service can feel like an uphill battle at this particular branch.
It's disheartening that the scale doesn't allow for a 0/5 stars rating, as the service I received barely merits a rating at all.
PPS: For people with disabilities, I strongly recommend seeking alternative establishments, as the lack of accommodation and understanding here is...
Read moreThis restaurant honestly has the absolute worst customer service I’ve experienced in Nairobi. Aesthetically it is pleasing, but that is where the positives end. First off - there is no one at the front entrance to greet you and walk you to a table. You have to find a table on your own. And because no one walked you to the table, they have no idea at which point you were seated, so no one offers a menu. The staff are all running around like a chicken with its head cut off. If you want assistance, you literally need to waive them down. It almost feels like you’re begging to be served. It was an absolute turn off.
My suggestion to the owner and I hope you take the advice Have someone greet you at the front entrance. This restaurant has 2 floors with 2 entrances so either make one floor the main entrance, or have someone working both upstairs and downstairs as hostess. Instead of free seating - walk people to a table, this way you know the person/people just showed up and offer a menu IMMEDIATELY! Have waiters/waitresses work a specific section only. Right now it’s very chaotic watching them run up and down the stairs and all over the place. Improve the service time. Even when an order is put in - it takes forever to receive your food. Please observe customer service at CJ’s. They have absolutely perfected customer service. Even if you go to the kilimani location and park underground - there is someone to greet you and the lift at the basement, then someone to greet you when you get off the lift who walks you to a table, then a waiter/waitress is immediately assigned to you. When you leave, there are people to say goodbye. People absolutely do not care at this restaurant. You walk in and out without someone even looking in your direction. This restaurant could care less about...
