The location is amazing and the food too. The idea of ticking what you want to eat from a menu is a fantastic idea.
But then the wait begun... We waited for the menus for a bit before anyone came to give them to us and pick them back. Literally frantically waving the menus to catch someone's attention. Or should you pick them up and drop them back to the kitchen for yourself? I don't know.
Then, having to wait for our food for almost an hour or almost over one isn't something I would go back there for and especially when you have kids with you. We saw people start eating and finish eating while we are still waiting for our food. At least even bring the drinks as soon as possible if the food will delay for whatever reason. The drinks, even the bottled water, were delayed as well.
After the wait, food comes and it comes in portions. Half of us on the table had their food and the rest of us, the kids, had to share our food before theirs came much later. I didn't mind sharing my food at all, but surely... Then one of our foods had chilli 🌶, like a looooooot of it, that we hadn't asked to be added, or maybe we didn't read the menu properly. But I've never seen anyone put in so much chilli, even in their own food, before. Like the chilli to food ratio was so unrealistic. How about serving the chilli one a side plate? And the guacamole too, story for another day.
Did I mention the straws? They are paper-made. They soak up and tear up before you finish your drink and if you aren't careful, you'll swallow some of it. Then you order another one, and it does not come. Guess if I ever have to go back here, I'll carry my own metal straw, thanks.
The bill... The wait for it and eventually going to the counter. Then for the leftover food takeaway... 🤦♀️ We waited for them to pack it, they kept us waiting, again, til we decided to just walk to the counter with the food to have it packed. We should have gone with the left over for takeaway at the counter at the same time with the bill if we knew.
It was quite the wait of an Evening, if only the seats had cushions.
Me, as much as I enjoyed the food, let me...
Read moreWe went to rocomama’s for a late lunch/early dinner on Sunday afternoon. Very disappointed with our experience. First of all, we had to find our own table which was filthy dirty, so many waiters passed us but now one even bothered clearing it up. After requesting at least 3 different waiters, one of them finally came and cleaned the table. No one came to take our orders after us being seated there for more than 10 minutes, we even asked a few waiters and there were clients who sat after us and they were served before us. Anyways, we finally got someone to serve us. We ordered food and our shoe strings fries were brought cold, soggy and refried. The sour cream on the nachos had gone off and they didn’t have fresh sour cream to serve us. But the waiter offered to replace it with any other dipping sauces which was nice of him. Rest of the food was good and even the waiter who served us was good. But overall it wasn’t a very...
Read moreIt's a burger joint in the modern american style. They offer smash burgers, wings, ribs, etc. I opted for the wings with blue cheese sauce as a starter and a smash burger. The wings were very small, not at all what I expected, especially considering the price and the sauce had none of the flavour and the pungentness of blue cheese (which really disappointed me as I was looking forward to have that combo I've often loved in SA). Then came the smash burger, which again was underwhelming, as I was expecting much more flavour from the meat. My daughter had the ribs, and those, on the other hand, were very tasty and fell off the bone. I had a mocktail and a cocktail, and both were the highlight of my meals. All in all, it's an okay place to lunch while in Sarit, enjoying the outdoor ambience (the indoor is rather bleak unless you're watching one of the screens), which compensate for the food lacking that 'je ne sais quoi' the...
