We went to this place on Tuesday with some friends to have dinner and watch a late football match. The place was fairly empty. Ordered some food and drink and relaxed waiting for our game to start. Out of the many screens we had strategically sat in front of one big screen. Then a few minutes into the game some men walk in order some beers and then suddenly all the TVs where switched to another game that we where not watching. We protested and they turned the screen we where watching back to our game. A little bit later they switched again but this time had a smaller TV far from where we sat. At this point that's when we learned that one of the men in the group was the owner. They refused to switch back to the game we where watching and sadly enough this owner and his friends where not even paying attention to the game. This owner of La Baita is an egoistic small minded man as far as I'm concerned who had no business running a club. Alot of their 1kg range on kshs 1200-1500, local beer kshs 300... on mzinga cost will depend on the brand. Awesome ambience, the djs Playlist is on point too. Will ...
Read moreI have really mixed feelings about this place. OK, positives? The food was AMAZING. Let me be specific, the roasted goat ribs we ordered were exceptionally tender! I have never eaten such in the entire country ever! That chef (unfortunately I didn't get his name) has definitely got something going on. The rest of everything else was pretty substandard. Terrible service from the stewards. Hygiene issues at the portable sink they have placed in the middle of the lounge. I felt the set up was rather crowded, too many tables and chairs, I can't imagine being here when it's full... Eeek! But for that mbuzi choma, I would pass by to collect an order...
