UPDATE: Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars. I have visited several times and the staff has consistently provided excellent service and the chicken kebab wraps are outstanding!
Good place to eat with a great playlist. Love all of the pic of the OG’s of rap! First visit was slightly disappointing. It was after the lunch rush and the staff must have had a bad day. They angrily explained that I didn’t order correctly (I ordered a “Buffalo Chicken Sandwich”). I had to order it per their instructions a Kingu Chicken Burger, Buffalo flavor. The sandwich was just as depressing as the staff- very small portion of meat with a giant bun.
A week later, I felt that I had to give Kingu a second try and I am so glad that I did. I ordered a Large Chicken Kebab with garlic and hot sauce, fries with garlic sauce. Staff was totally new folks with a fresh attitude! Food was incredibly good! Portions were HUGE! I devoured my food like I was in a competition but really it was because, it was just so tasty.
Hopefully my first visit was just a fluke. Try...
Read moreFood was good and decent portions. My only complaint was with one of the workers. I read that some had issues with language barriers but because everything else was communicated fine, I feel that wasn't the case for my situation. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (yummy btw) and asked if it came with coleslaw. After being told no I asked if I could get a side of it. The worker said "you'd have to pay" I said that's totally fine. He then said "you have to buy the meal and it comes with a side and soda" I said I'll pay but I do not want the drink so you can just keep that" he then said no, if I pay for it I have to take everything. So I ended up not getting the meal. My sandwich was 7$ and my friend got the kebab bowl which was cheaper and significantly more food. Both were very...
Read moreI had really high hopes for the new Kingu renovation, especially with all the noise “Teikas Kingu” made on social media.
Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. Kingu used to have really tasty fries — the same ones still shown on their digital menu — but in reality, we got the most basic store-bought French fries.
The biggest disappointment, though, was the Sloppy Joe burger. Such a shame I didn’t take a photo. Instead of being filled with minced beef like a proper Sloppy Joe, it had just a regular patty with a small hint of minced beef on top. I even asked the waitresses twice if this was the correct burger, and both times they assured me it was. Nothing like the pictures!
Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype. I really expected more after all the...
