As someone who is looking for the best Japanese food around the world, we have tried many Japanese restaurants both in and outside of Japan. I have to say that my recent experience at CAFE im kunstmuseum was a bit disappointing. I ordered their macha parfait with mango on top and found the macha ice cream to be lacking in authenticity and creaminess. The portion size was also quite small for the price of 12 CHF. Came here during 2021, and had the absolute worst service seen to man and the owner was absolutely a vile racist and discriminatory . If your not blonde, blue eyes stay away bc they won’t even come to help and expect everyone that visits to know German. Not so fresh fish, sashimi was clearly not edible and I informed the staff when asked if the food was ok, the response was “huh strange it usually is fresh” and they charged us full 54 chf for my dish with fish that had gone bad (I had to spit it out after i started chewing and realised it was bad).
