Completely awful service in all possible ways!!!
Firstly the waitress came in all moody and with frowny face with unpleasant vibe and with arrogant and rude overtone, not replying to simple "thank you" and almost ignoring us all. After orders, some of us got presented with drinks of which completely opposite was ordered (ordered: zero, but got presented with regular coke), after that they simply replied - "we don't have regular" and didn't apologized neither grasped themselves to take away unwanted drink. Next it looks like all the staff is not organised or not cooperating among themselves at all - some other waiter (also with same "amazing" hospitality) bringing us random orders that we didn't chose. After asking to split a receipt we got a reply in a rude manner "one table - one receipt". Finally when we all been dressing up, the waitress rushed in, squeezed in through all of us WITHOUT politely waiting for us to disperse and start moving towards exit, just to grab the money paid..
If you're not a big fan of the worst ever customer service and don't want that experience engraved withing you for the rest of the day, I would suggest to avoid this place at all costs.
Pros: quite unique and authentic (huntsmen-like) interior with some exclusive will animal meat dishes.
P.s. it was a great place to get rid of useless single cents from our...
Read moreThis very old restaurant is in a historic building a little bit away from the pedestrian walkway where there is much more activity. It’s in a beautiful square that is undergoing renovation right now with the church and other buildings that are quite picturesque, though right now they’re bordered with fences and there is a lot of construction material around. But when that’s finished, this will be a spectacular site. The interior is very Rustic, with lots of animal heads mounted on the walls. After all, it is a “Hunter’s Inn”. Virtually all of the food is game, and we learned that the venison is wild, not farmed. We ordered the venison medallions with onions, mushrooms, and a game sauce, though I chose to have the sauce on the side. The medallions were quite good, the one piece was slightly overcooked. We also got the Caesar salad with venison medallions, and that was very tasty. The molten lava cake was hot, runny, and dark chocolate. My chocoholic wife approved. If you’re looking for a historic restaurant in Kaunas, this is definitely...
Read moreFood's good, but customer service was attrocious and ruined lunch for us and our guest. Me and my female colleague accidentaly started ordering at the same time and the waitress said 'Women always go first.' with a serious face. Then we tried ordering water with lemon, to which waitress replied 'Bottled only.', then we asked for tap water - the same answer 'Bottled only.'. A colleague order Coca-Cola Zero. The waitress brought standard Coca-Cola. When asked to change it to zero she, without checking or saying sorry told us that they didnt have it, implying that she new she was bringing a different beverage. Didnt even ask whether the colleague wanted another drink and when the same colleague said that she didnt want the drink the waitress just gave us blank stare and the colleague had to make it clear that she's not gonna drink it and to ask to take it away. And the cherry on top was their inability to split the bill 'One table - one bill.' she said. Not recommended, super...
