We had set lunch menu. The food was tasty however it look too long for the food to be served. Also, the mushrooms in the soup were spoiled. When we mentioned to the waitress she did mention it to chef, however didn't comeback to replace it. We had to insist on it being replaced without mushroom. Though the food was good the service was pathetic. Replying to owners comment below. Please check the CCTV footage again. We were inside the restaurant before 3 PM and we did mention to the waitress if we can still have the set menu and she said yes. The waitress you checked might be the one who finished her duty before 3 PM and new one started just before 3 PM. Check the CCTV again and see how much time it took for a REPLACEMENT. As I mentioned earlier the waitress came back and we asked her what we are suppose to do with the soup. For which she replied, what do you want me to do? I believe MUSHROOM were spoilt due to HOT weather? The new soup was without mushroom. Make sure you keep them in a freezer if the weather is too hot. I'm happy that you replied and yes the food was delicious. The mango lassi, naan was good. Just the timing. The soup was served first then the naans. There was no curry to go with the naan, so we had to eat them as is. As they went cold before the manchurian, rice was served. Again the salad served was not fresh. May be due to HOT weather? Thanks for keeping the take away food on our request.I will definitely visit again and I sincerely hope you would have improved on...
Read moreVisited this restaurant a month ago for dinner and we liked the food, so booked again for my mom’s birthday. And to be honest, we left quite disappointed. The service was very mediocre, friendly, but left desired more ( we were celebrating a birthday and probably would have taken more wine and deserts, but it wasn’t offered to us, after a long time wait ,we had to look for someone to bring a bill, although restaurant was empty) I specifically asked for no coriander in our dishes, but tandoor mixed plate came with a lot sprinkled on,so I couldn’t eat a dish, just ate a piece of lamb , thought maybe , listening to us , they put parsley, and as soon, as I got that it had fresh coriander, I could not eat the dish, but even small piece of lamb I swallowed, translated into heavy vomiting after an hour . After all we paid 88 + 10 eur tip ( Tips actually were not because of good service, more because I work in hospitality myself 20 + years ) . To be fair I know how hard is to hire people , yet things like some allergies or ingredient tolerances should be very highly addressed. and we heard the waitress talking to the kitchen ..Yet it ruined our experience . The only thing I would be back it’s Thai papaya salad.just because it I don’t know place in Vilnius serving it, and it almost as good as in Thailand ( needs a bit more of lime juice and chili, but overall best dish in the...
Read moreMy recent visit to Blue Lotus left much to be desired. Despite an appealing menu and inviting ambiance, the culinary experience fell short of expectations. The lentil soup, while satisfactory, lacked the wow factor and seemed overpriced for what it offered. The grilled King prawn tikka was a letdown, arriving burnt and devoid of the delicate balance of spices expected in such a dish. The samosas provided a glimmer of hope with their acceptable taste, but it wasn't enough to salvage the overall experience.
To add insult to injury, the mango kulfi was a disappointment, tasting as though it had been crafted from subpar ingredients, lacking the creamy texture and rich flavor expected of this traditional dessert.
While the service was adequate, the culinary shortcomings overshadowed any positives. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Blue Lotus based on my experience. Perhaps with improvements in the execution of dishes and quality control, this establishment could regain its footing in the...
