Surprisingly delightful! Despite reading mixed reviews, my curiosity led me to explore this local hotspot, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The atmosphere is a delightful fusion of hipster chic, the lively ambience of a sports bar, and a welcoming haven for a diverse array of patrons, ranging from families to young professionals.
Sports enthusiasts will find themselves right at home, with ample screens broadcasting football matches and beloved Lithuanian basketball games. As for the food, my initial uncertainties were swiftly dispelled upon trying dishes like the cold borscht soup and chicken kievs with fries – simple yet delicious and reasonably priced too. And let's not forget the impressive beer selection, which further adds to the experience.
Even during peak hours, the staff exhibited commendable efficiency in managing the bustling crowd, ensuring that everyone was served promptly and with a smile. It's undoubtedly a place where you can soak in the authentic local vibe.
Count me among those eagerly planning a return visit. Kudos to the team for creating such an inviting atmosphere!...
Read moreIt's something of a Narnia type experience. The outside is reminiscent of a shop that's ceased trading, with tired aluminium doors and window frames, a few old bill posts stuck outside on blackened glass. It looks like an old news agents. But once you walk inside your transported into a large, spacious, warm and welcoming bar, diner with long large wooden tables almost worthy of Valhalla. It's got that busy, vibrant buzz, and an interesting decor, that makes it a great place to sit and spend some time. Plenty of drinks on offer from regional beers, through to the more common lagers, a few wines, red and white, of course spirits and they also do a few cocktails. The food is Lithuanian, so it's a great place to try it out if you've never had the pleasure. Just pick a table, order at the bar and wait for your food which when I ordered, came pretty quick, all while soakng up the atmosphere. They accept cards too. Credit & Debit not christmas, though maybe they'd be happy if you sent one anyway.. Well...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from FreeTours and Google reviews. The restaurant is dark, noisy and feels more like a bar. Upon arrival we discovered that everything needed to be ordered and reported in person at the bar, but we couldn't find this information written anywhere, so we only found out after a few minutes of observation. The service in the form of two gentlemen was not nice at all. It was saved only by the lady from the kitchen, who was pleasant to communicate with. We didn't have the dishes we originally wanted to order, we wanted to have traditional main dishes, so we had to choose another alternative. We also had the pink soup, was not tasty, but we found that out only when we tasted it in a better establishment, as it was our first pink soup. The main dish tasted good, so the taste saved the overall impression of the restaurant. We didn't wait long at all for the food, so satisfaction in that respect as well. We paid €24 for two meals,...
