Contemporary Art Centre — Attraction in Vilnius

Contemporary Art Center in Vilnius is the biggest in all Baltic States and just this small detail is the reason to come here. Building is stange, but everybody likes it in Vilnius. It was made by architect Vytautas Čekanauskas and opened the doors in 1969. Cause Contemporary Art Center was established in 1992. What else? I like Jurgis Mačiūnas FLUXUS cabinet with hudge original pieces of art here. It is one more reason to visit this center. And also do not forget to drink coffee in their renovated...

Great contenporary art gallery. Nice place just to go and overthink ;)) Defently one of the CAC stars is "FLUXUS cabinet", this Fluxus art movement reperesnting gallery in Vilnius CAC is since the opening. By the way, they have an amazing reading room, where u can just sit with your coffee and work or just calmly read. There's is a big collection of art, critical thinking, history and etc. books and magazines for any eye.

I'm wondering if perhaps the museum was undergoing a "transitional" period when we visited because the exhibits were really underwhelming. There wasn't much explanation of the art, and sadly the building just seemed underfunded. The few pieces of art we saw were definitely thought-provoking, particularly the "safety deposit boxes," but I would love to...
