I recently visited "Justa Pasta" in Vilnius Oldtown, and I was blown away and hankering for more. Anyone looking for an authentic Italian gastronomic experience in the center of Vilnius should definitely visit this quaint Italian restaurant, which has unquestionably earned its status as a must-see location.
Naturally, pasta and ravioli were the main attractions, and "Justa Pasta" did not dissapoint. It was challenging for us to pick just one pasta dish from the tempting options on the menu.
Our server, Just, provided us with great service, which really improved our eating experience. She was quite passionate about the food they offered, attentive, and informed. Just took the time to explain the meals, offer suggestions, and even make some great wine pairing suggestions to go with our lunch. She brought a personal touch and her infectious excitement for the restaurant's menu items made us feel like valued customers.
It's truly outstanding how much detail "Justa Pasta" pays attention to. Every detail of our visit, from the expertly prepared food to the attentive and welcoming employees, was carefully taken care of. It is clear that this restaurant puts its heart and mind into its culinary masterpieces, guaranteeing each customer a memorable dining experience.
To sum up, "Justa Pasta" is a hidden gem in Vilnius Oldtown that foodies and anybody else looking for a true flavor of Italy shouldn't pass up. I strongly urge anyone searching for delectable, authentic Italian food delivered with passion and a smile to visit this restaurant. Remember to seek Justė's advice; her commitment and expertise only improved our fantastic dinner experience. I can't wait to return to "Justa Pasta" and delve deeper into their amazing cuisine....
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Justa Pasta, which is listed in the Michelin Guide and came with certain expectations. Summary - no go! Service Unfortunately, the service at Justa Pasta was exceptionally poor, the worst I've encountered in Vilnius. On a hot evening with temperatures around 30°C, we requested to be seated outside and ordered two water bottles. The waitress brought us two bottles of warm water without ice, left them unopened on the table, and placed the glasses upside down. We then ordered an Aperol Spritz and a Gin & Tonic. The Aperol Spritz was served in white wine glasses, and the Gin & Tonic in water glasses. When we inquired about the number of focaccias to order, the waitress responded, "Oh, "swear word" it, that's a good question. I don’t know." As our main courses arrived, the empty dishes were not cleared. When we requested Prosecco and Rosé wine, neither was available, and the waitress suggested white wine instead. The white wine she brought was at room temperature (30°C+). Numerous other service errors made the overall experience extremely disappointing. Food For starters, we ordered a cheese platter and some olives. The olives were passable, but the cheese platter consisted of three pieces of cheese even without any cutlery for slicing. For the main course, I chose pasta with beef cheek. Despite sounding promising, the dish seemed to consist of separately boiled pasta and beef cheeks, with a few pieces of beef cheek placed on top of the pasta. The pasta with truffles was slightly better but still mediocre. In summary, the food was edible but nothing beyond that. Based on this experience, I do not recommend visiting...
Read moreMy first encounter with the establishment a year ago was an act of unintentional testing. Arriving an hour before closing, I found the team in a silence ready for departure: the kitchen was cleaned, and the staff, though clearly surprised, displayed true professionalism. That dinner was a pleasant surprise—with a vibrant palette of flavors and impeccable service, which instilled confidence in the high standard of the venue.
The contrast on my repeat visit was all the more striking. It gives the impression that all discipline and passion for cuisine have been lost.
Chaos reigns in the kitchen: the cold appetizers, once complex and balanced, became utterly flat and bland. The hot dishes, on the contrary, were heavily oversalted. There is no coordination in serving: a hot dish (pasta) was brought before we had finished our appetizers.
However, the main disappointment is the total degradation of service. The staff weren't just absent—they were demonstratively ignoring the guests. The waitstaff occupied a guest table on the summer terrace, where they indulged in smoking and personal conversations, completely checked out of the work process.
Their indifference went so far that to ask for the bill, I had to search for someone inside the hall myself. My waitress, whom I finally found, showed not a shred of interest: her reaction was to coldly extend the check without a single question about whether we had enjoyed anything at all.
This isn't just poor service; it's a demonstrative neglect of the guest on all levels. The establishment doesn't just fall short of guidebook standards—it fails to meet the basic standards of hospitality. I strongly advise against wasting your time...
