A Toast to Bukowski Baras – Where the Beer Flows and the Music Knows Your Name!
Last night, I ventured into Bukowski Baras, a spot where Charles himself would’ve raised a glass (or maybe even written a poem). As someone who intended to just "pop in" for a quick drink, I quickly found that leaving wasn't as easy as entering—thanks to the utterly infectious atmosphere and a music playlist that could probably bring a statue to life.
Let's talk about the beer. Oh, the beer! It seems Bukowski Baras brews their magic potion locally, because each one was a delightful surprise that seemed to whisper (or shout, a few beers in), "Just one more!" Well, they had me convinced.
Although I didn’t get around to trying the food (a regret that only my late-night pizza could console), the brews were more than enough to guarantee I’ll be back. Maybe the food will make it into the review next time—if I can get past the ever-tempting tap.
In summary, if you're looking to enjoy a night where you lose track of your beers, but find great tunes, Bukowski Baras is your place. Just don’t plan anything too demanding for the morning after! Cheers to an unexpectedly memorable night, and remember – it’s not a true Bukowski homage unless you leave a bit more spirited than...

I used to love this bar when it was at the old location. It had space — two floors, a lively street filled with people, and a proper chill vibe. You could sit outside, enjoy the old-school music, and just relax. Even when it was packed, you’d only wait a minute or maximum 10 for the toilet, and the bar staff were lightning-fast and professional.
Now? Total downgrade. The new spot is cramped and chaotic. The music has switched to some weird mix of pop, hip-hop, and techno — not sure who they think their audience is now, but it’s not the same crowd. The line for the toilet cuts through half the bar, and it feels like you’re always standing in someone’s way. Same goes for getting a drink — you’re waiting forever while the bartenders stand around chatting.
The terrace? Completely wasted. There’s barely anywhere to sit because of random boxes just lying around. No atmosphere, no comfort — just noise and confusion.
Whatever made this place special is gone. This is not an upgrade, it’s a mess. Honestly, if you knew the old spot, this version feels...
Read moreweird place. full of shizos and underage druggies. i remeber the beer selection being a little better like a year ago. the staff is sometimes aggressive. its just a bar to hop to at 3am when everything else is closed and you have no desire to go home yet. not good not terrible. i dont think this bar would ever be anyones first choice, but there are definetely worse places in vilnius. i once met a dude who bragged about having killed a man, the other time a 14/15 year old girl asked us for a place to crash because her parents kicked her out since she started doing crystal meth. but you can also meet fun people too that you can a lovely chat with. the pub is quite diverse but not really in all the best ways. they dont id people so kids drink there, which is worrying when seeing what type of people they could meet there. ill probably will be back...
