My recent visit to Galo do Porto left me utterly appalled by the unprofessional behavior displayed by one of their waitresses. My friend and I were enjoying our meal when a blonde waitress approached our table. From the moment she arrived, her attitude was shockingly rude and disrespectful. She not only interrupted our conversations but also went as far as openly discussing us in an offensive manner.
What truly crossed the line was when I excused myself to visit the restroom. As I was walking, the same waitress intentionally shoved me, and when I turned around, she didn't offer an apology. To my disbelief, she actually stepped on my foot and walked away, seemingly relishing in her actions. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and has no place in any professional establishment.
Even as we requested our bill, her behavior didn't improve. Instead, she continued to act with an air of disdain, making faces and refusing to provide the level of service that should be expected in a restaurant of this caliber. It's disheartening to witness such behavior tarnishing what could have been a pleasant dining experience.
I sincerely hope that directors addresses this matter promptly and takes appropriate action to ensure that their staff adheres to a higher standard of professionalism and customer service. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, and unfortunately, that was sorely lacking during my visit. My friend and I left the restaurant feeling disappointed and disrespected, vowing never to return unless significant changes are made.
In conclusion, my encounter at this place was marred by the deplorable behavior of a particular waitress. It is my hope that management takes immediate steps to rectify this situation and prevent future patrons from experiencing the same level of rudeness and disrespect...
Read morethe external environment is rather uncomfortable as there are small tables with low chairs which make eating a meal very uncomfortable. the staff are not the most efficient: we waited over an hour to be able to have a dish and when we went inside to ask why this long wait an extremely rude member of staff told us that this is a restaurant it is not McDonald's and if we wanted a dish done right we had to wait. we have been to dozens of better restaurants than this one, not least "Comme chez soi" in Brussels, a two Michelin star restaurant, and the staff (everywhere!) as well as being very friendly were definitely more efficient as we started eating after about 10 minutes. we are not the typical consumers of McDonald's as thought by the aforementioned peasant who treated us like mountain louts, but evidently anyone who works in a shrimp-cooker restaurant cannot tell the difference between a service and a rude attack. Next time, instead of being rude, just tell the client how long the waiting can be and maybe the client will order something different. Funny note after the meal: we asked for dessert but the answer was “the kitchen is closed, we have to go home”… if you served us on time, maybe we would have had the opportunity to have a completate meal. Normal food but wry bad service:...
Read morei feel sorry that i even have to leave this review and attempt to describe what an awful experience it was.
• customer service was awful from the getgo. despite the restaurant being mostly empty when we got there, the waiter greeted us with complete disinterest and rude attitude when asked if we can sit by the window. throughout the dinner the service was slow. i decided to go and pay by the bar myself to cut this awful experience shorter. • the food was undercooked, completely unseasoned. seafood was chewy and definitely not fresh. i was genuinely appalled that a place at this price range could offer a food so off quality wise. grilled vegetables? pft. grilled from the outside yet still completely raw inside. • place itself looks outdated and without care or love thus im really confused why they'd be charging the prices they are. legacy? just cause there isnt a competition in terms of portuguese places in vilnius?
this dinner left me thoroughly and utterly sad is all i can say. (i take my food...
