WE GOT FOOD POISONED HERE. PLEASE READ.
Hi, please read this review. We are a young couple and we visited Vilnius between 2 and 5 July of 2023. We ate in Etno Dvaras located in Aušros Vartų g. 2, 01303, Vilnius for the first time the 2nd of July 2023. Among the dishes that we ordered (and we ordered a lot), we got some "Cepelinai" filled with meat and cheese. The ones with the cheese were ok, but the ones with the meat tasted weird. Despite the fact that the meat filled cepelinai didn't taste great, we ate them. After that meal we started feeling kinda weird, but nothing really special. We actually thought that it was just a coincidence. 2 days later, at the 4th of July around 9 p.m., we ate here again. And this is when it all started. We ordered the mushroom soup and many other dishes. We also ordered handmade dumplings filled with meat Just a few minutes after we ate the dumplings, we had stomach pain and nausea. We didn't even sleep all night because of diarrhea. The next morning we had to catch up our early morning Ryanair's flight to return back home to Athens, Greece. After we woke up, my boyfriend immediately vomited. We were feeling so sick and we barely had the courage to get into a taxi and go to the airport. Just a little moments after our airplane got off the ground, I started to feel even worse and had to go to the bathroom to vomit. One hour later, I revisited the bathroom for diarrhea (3rd time because of the food poisoning). Please accept my apologies for reading this disgusting description in this comment, but I do feel the need to prevent you guys from eating at this restaurant. Don't get impressed from the good reviews online. We have proofs for this happening, including the Ryanair's flight number that we took to return back home and the personal info of the flight attendants that took care of me, while vomiting inside the airplane. We were lucky enough because that was the last day of our holidays in Vilnius. After returning back home, we needed 2 days to fully recover from the nausea. We also took medicine.
--The service is also bad, and not polite at all. They don't even smile or say a simple "hello" to you. Completely unprofessional, soviet-type...

From the moment we stepped into this downtown gem, it felt like we had been transported 500 years into the past. The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking — every detail of the decor, from the medieval tapestries to the candlelit stone walls, immerses you in a bygone era. It’s like dining inside a living piece of history.
The food was equally impressive. Each dish was a celebration of authentic Lithuanian cuisine, prepared with clear attention to tradition and flavor. From the hearty soups to the perfectly spiced meats and rustic breads, every bite felt like a warm embrace from the past.
What truly made our experience unforgettable was the impeccable service. Our server, Olena, greeted us with a warm smile and guided us through the menu with genuine care and patience. She explained each dish in detail, helping us choose the perfect combination — and never once made us feel rushed. Her kindness and professionalism added a personal touch that elevated the entire evening.

The menu consists of local foods and has pictures along with descriptions in English. The food tasted amazing and portions were generous, especially considering the price. Really recommend the fried breadsticks but make sure you order the cheese on the side as the amount was a bit much on some pieces.
We sat outside and atmosphere was lovely.
When we initially entered, no waiter took notice of us even though we were standing right in the hallway (impossible to miss) and there were a handful of waiters but appreciate it must’ve been busy. When we asked to be seated we were told to sit anywhere but couldn’t find a seat so we waited. While we were waiting others came and we had to tell them to queue behind us as they otherwise unknowingly would’ve cut the queue as there was nobody from the restaurant to manage this. Within 5 mins we had seats so everything moved very quickly. The whole process just felt a bit chaotic and our table wasn’t cleaned properly. Once we were seated the service was prompt and friendly.
We’re planning on coming back during our stay to try some more...
