BIX Baras — Restaurant in Vilnius

An alternative cultural hotspot way past its heyday... Still gathers a respectable crowd for the key dates during the year 🤘 Weekends are for the unconscious youth, however...

Pros: • LGBT friendly • Moroccan burger • Best karaoke nights, and alternative discos in the city • Free outdoor concerts for its birthday, and the GMD (google that one) • Don't expect a better service, than 2/5, and you're sure to be pleasantly surprised once in a while 😉

Cons: • Abuses its staff to the point of IJDGAF • Insists on putting cilantro in almost every dish (on the account of the cuisine chosen - Armenian (?)) • Refuses to clear the floor for the indoor concerts (see con №1) • Cheap rotten beer twice a week during the "Beer Exchange" at the cellar bar downstairs • The pool tables, and cues are trashed, but if you're cool with the staff, they might just let you play for free 😏 • Extra €0,5 service fee/"deposit"/age (?) tax per EVERY beer purchased (officially plastic "glass" deposit; doesn't matter if it comes in an actual GLASS; see con №1)

Ok, day 2 here and an update: Be very carefull about this place. It has a boomerang-effect! Third time I am here in two days! An will keep coming back. Do try the cold soup. And the potatoe pancakes with mushroom sauce are awesome too! Thank you for the soup recipe!!! Can't want to make it at home! And surprise everybody with the encredible taste and....the colour!!! Will keep boomeranging to Bix! And maybe give another update. But that is totaly not needed. Just go! (And be ware of the boomerang-effect! Don't say I did not...

Best bar in Vilnius! Although I might be saying that because of that one waitress (the super cute one with the button nose). Relaxed atmosphere and a variety of bar games, such as pool and football table. Good drinks and excellent service! There's a dance floor in the basement and a more relaxed bar on the ground floor, plus extra seating and pool on the first floor. It's a great place for going out for a drink with or without friends, for talking and for meeting people. Even though we decided not to go to the same bar twice while visiting Vilnius, we ended up going three...
