Osteria da Luca — Restaurant in Vilnius

Firstly, the place is great and food is way above average for what it is. We are local customers and spent numerous times at the place - leaving 10-30eur tips no matter what the bill is. Howewer 2025.02.27 16:00-17:00 my girlfriend and myself decided to come and enjoy pizza and drink a couple of casual beers. Bartender served us beer that was flat and sour. Clearly because she didnt poor some out since the last shift. After we told her that the beer is off she said everything is fine - disregarding my girlfriend pointed out that the beer in the glass that the bartender was tasting herself - looked fizzy & fresh. So we were just told all is fine with the beer, despite she mentioned "it was ok yesterday - what was clearly indicating she didnt check ir today." Such a shame when you have this incompetent attitude at you next door place you come on a regular basis. Firced to pay for rotten beer instead just re-puring a pint - just like in the 90s. I guarantee this wouldnt have happened with the other waitresses that alway do amazing job. Shame this is the way you treat customers. I regularly visit this restaurant for lunch and they quality of food has dropped significantly whilst prices gone up and became unreasonable. Normally business lunch prices were better than ordering from the normal menu - that is the standard practice, hence it is called a business lunch menu. But today for soup and pasta i paid 15eur which is the same price if I ordered the same dish from the menu. And it was completely not worth the price. It is the third time I ordered pasta which was not enjoyable, the food lacked flavour and seasoning so I yet again left my plate almost untouched and left them 15eur for it. Just a few months ago for the same soup and pasta combo for business lunch I paid 10eur, so 5eur price increase is very significant and unreasonable when I can have a business lunch next door at. a different place for 7eur. More that that For last few weeks any day we would visit we would be served the same simple courgette soup, so it is a shame to see their menu not changing at all. As Neapolitan, I wanted to check a typical southern Italian experience in Vilnius. I ordered classic bruschetta, pizza Margherita, a Peroni beer, gelato pistachio and limoncello… come on, what we eat at home on a normal summer dinner. Overall good! Pizza was good, definitely above average in north Europe. I’d have preferred fresh tomatoes and olive oil on the bruschetta. Gelato was decent, although with some shells in the granulated. Sad note: limoncello was not worth and even not iced cold. Nevertheless, very much worth the price. One suggestion: the Spanish soundtrack at beginning confused me. Nevertheless, the jazzy environment that came later made the confusion up, specially with the piano there being ready to be played. Will visit it again...
