Gerai Nuba Laya — Restaurant in Borneo

This place is a must for those who would like to experience authentic orang ulu cuisine. They have a wide variety of choices of dishes. A recommendation is their 'nuba laya'. Traditional food famously known among Kelabit community. Hot "mashed" rice packed into daun lerek. Same type of daun that is used for lemang and kelupis. The distinct fragrant of this leave infuse with the rice makes it so special. Nuba laya usually serve hot, enjoyed with traditional dish (especially babui kishap).

Price range is reasonable...

This place serves home cooked authentic kelabit dishes. One of which is "luba laya". They are a variety of dishes to choose from and i guarantee you it tastes really good. The food is very cheap but don't mistake it for bad quality. In fact its the opposite the quality of the food is awesome. I really recommend those looking to try kampung style dishes from the kelabit people can come here. Especially for tourists from outside of Malaysia.

Miri here , plenty of native food places but they cant get all 3 above requirements done right.
