A must go Restaurant for people who wish to taste the aunthentic local delicacies.. as I have been searching for a good foods in kota kinabalu for dinner, this place came among one of the recommended place to go for dinner.. When i was driving to there, been dreaming how was the setup and also the menu and especially the taste of melaka delicacies itself..
Upon entering the place, i see many chinese family dining in the place..The crowds are large..1st came into my mind, thr foods must be good then..
the waitress gave me the menu, i ask for recommendation, they respond me for laksa curry mee melaka..Upon selecting drinks, i saw the ABC special which cost only rm 4.. i place my order and eagerly awaits my wonderful meals.
as the foods arrive, i was delighted by the uniqueness of the curry which is black brownish in colour with the rainbow abc..Now come to the taste of it, the ABC is sweet with some gula melaka and tasted soothing enough with all the well mixed ingredient and not to forgot of the price RM 4 only... The Laksa Curry noodle tasted unique with so much richness of the curry laksa soup with 5 spices and curry powder with the enough coconut milks. The noodle is normal yellow noodle and at least 4 prawns and some other fish products inside..But here i wanna comment that the prawns served is not the best prawns that i have eaten and it is not as fresh as it should be served. there is a bit smell over the prawns and it is not tangy or chewy as it should be in a fresh prawns..
As the price to foods portion ratio, it is worth it. As i go back home, the taste of the curry laksa still linger in my mind.. Therefore, i will gave this place 7 out of 10 in view of the prawns as well the decoration of the shop and the overall environment with mediocre customer services..but nonetheless, it is a good restaurant go dine...
Read moreWent to this restaurant recently to have dinner with my partner. We ordered 3 types of dishes(small portion). I can say staff service was good, as well as the food. Their Asam Fish is nice. But I was extremely disappointed with their billing system. While we were waiting for our food to come, they served us a small plate of peanut & warm water, which I thought was free. We finished eating, paid the bill (cost us RM40++) & ready to leave when a staff came to give us 2 wet tissues. And again, I thought that it was free. As we drove away, I checked our receipt just to realize that they were actually charging us for the peanut & wet tissue we never asked for! I was so mad of this hence I will rate this restaurant 1 star solely for the food quality.
If you are planning to go here, just make sure to refuse those peanut & wet tissue if you...
Read moreI have boycotted this restuarant. I have thought about writing this review for some time. My family went to this restuarant early in the evening. This place had been our "go to" restuarant. There were 8 of us. All tables were available and unreserved. We chose a circular table with a lazy susan near a window on the ground floor. We had settled ourselves when an officious waiter told us we had to move as that table was reserved for tourists. This is very poor service attitude and bordering on racist. Their food is mediocre. The cleanliness is questionable....
