Checked-in on 6pm. Ordered pork belly and teriyaki grilled chicken. My mum tried pork belly and complained the texture was too hard for her. Even I tried it and had to agreed with her. However, the taste was good. Both orders were complimented with two side dishes baked potato and black sesame salad. The baked potato was great with some spices (I think it was curry, not too sure). Though the salad tasted not too bad with the condiment, but I felt it was lack of creativity and too ordinary with just using purple carbage and lettuce as salad, considering that it's a fine dining restaurant located at the heart of city. These small particular details you should pay more attention to differentiate yourself with your competitors. You should understand that consumers nowadays are very particular to healthy eating lifestyle. When the salad is the only vegetable on the table, you should do more so that the salad is presentable and appetising.
I had too much of encounters with salads by using purple carbage and lettuce in Kuala Lumpur - it bores me and no element of surprise.
The service was great. The staffs were local and very friendly. They were very attentive to customers and very helpful. They reminded me to redeem free parking at the reception upon taking order. They know what I would ask before I take initiation. They even placed a reminder card on each table to redeem free parking with them. Well done on that.
Also, I found that the menu was very confusing and messy. Menu should be simple and straight to the points. For instance, the main course does not indicate the number of side dishes and only few illustrations for certain dishes. My mum had hard time to understand with the menu. I had to ask the waiter in order to know the side dishes.
Overall - 4 stars out of 5 Foods - 3 stars out of 5 (the pork belly was hard and salad was plain, considering with the price. However, the grilled chicken was great and texture was just nice) Ambience - 5 stars out of 5 (quiet and contemporary interior design) Service - 5 stars out of 5 (Excellent! The staffs were helpful, attentive to customers' movement and free parking to redeem) Price - 3 stars out of 5 (average, considering that it's a fine dining restaurant at strategic location. The pork belly and grilled chicken cost me about 30 ringgit each, while jasmine and ginger tea costs about 10 ringgit. Total damage...
Read moreI’ve had a bad experience tonight. The service was really bad as all waitress and waiter were too busy. What we experienced: Food comes around 45mins to 1 hour wait. Drinks have to go counter yourself, they forgot the order. Cancelled our 5 year old son meal after 1 hour and a half of wait. Beer second order waited for half an hour, did not arrived and went to the counter to ask about it. They asked back what did you order? 😒 (I smiled and this is the missing item) Finally I got the bill, paid and left. They only realized that they didn’t punched in 1 item. They screenshot their account with a lot of numbers on screen to ask me to pay via phone call as I have left the building. I requested the qr for me to pay after I check my receipt. So I paid the amount based on the picture they take in the system. I don’t get specific amount from them. (I have never seen cashier counter screen and what I see is highlighted figure, I paid that amount.) After I have shared the transfer amount, they called again only to let me know the exact amount. They could have informed the total amount but they did not. They asked me to bank in RM9 missing amount for tax. With that, I have lost my cool. Lose me as a customer for RM9. Definitely won’t come again.
They demanded me to pay the tax as I did not pay the exact amount. After all these? Should we get 10% service charges back since we get...
Read moreThis establishment earns a low 2-star rating due to significant issues with menu transparency and food description accuracy.
A major problem arose with their chicken karaage, which arrived unexpectedly topped with egg despite no mention of this ingredient in the menu description. This lack of clear menu information creates problems for customers with specific dietary preferences or restrictions.
The practice of adding undisclosed ingredients shows a concerning lack of attention to menu accuracy and customer communication. Complete and accurate menu descriptions are a basic requirement in food service, especially for delivery orders where customers cannot ask questions directly.
This issue raises broader concerns about the restaurant's approach to ingredient disclosure and respect for customer preferences. In today's dining environment, where many people have specific dietary needs or preferences, complete menu transparency is essential.
For improvement, the restaurant needs to update their menu with comprehensive ingredient listings for all dishes. This would prevent unexpected surprises and allow customers to make informed choices about their orders.
The combination of unclear menu descriptions and unexpected additions makes it difficult to recommend this establishment, particularly for those with specific dietary requirements or...
