We initially went there for a specific food, Hokkien Mee. But, after seating down and read through the menu book, we did not only order that but a plethora of other dishes as well. The Hokkien Mee was done just right with its perfect balance of flavors, sufficient pork lard while not being overly greasy to turn you off. However, the other dishes we ordered were the ones that wow'ed us the most. The Seafood Fried Mihun was the most impressive as it came with a unique flavour. The strong wok hei brought out the natural aromatic rich flavours. We loved it. Although the Salted Vegetable Tomato Fish Mihun fell short due to the choice of noodles, Dongguan Rice Vermicelli Noodles would have been a better match, offering a softer, chewier texture that could better absorb the broth. Read moreWent there on 23 March for dinner around 8.15pm. Upon arrival, no table was available so we had to wait outside. Before that we signaled to the counter "2 pax" but was unheeded 🤷🏻♀️ When we saw people exit, we immediately went inside and it took quite a drag to wait for the staff to clear the vacant table.
Ordered Hokkien Mee and Fish Sauce Mihun seafood. The menu book shows the seafood, chicken and pork dishes separately which is easy to understand. Wrote on the order slip Hokkien Mee pork but unfortunately was told unavailable at the counter so had to change it to seafood. Same goes with our drinks, ordered Orange juice and Watermelon but was told Watermelon juice was unavailable so had to change choice. Both dishes tasted good thank goodness but unfortunately the Fish Sauce Mihun came out 10 minutes later than the...
Read moreIt was my first visit here. The first page of their menu features Hokkien Mee, which I assume is their signature dish and it didn’t disappoint. The sauce was flavorful, and the overall taste was excellent. I also tried their 月光河, which was tasty, but I felt it could’ve been drier before mixing in the egg to bring out the texture better.
Their lemon chicken chop was another highlight, crispy and well-fried, with a sweet and tangy lemon sauce. The fries were the typical frozen kind, but still acceptable.
Overall, the prices and portions are reasonable, especially considering the air cond and comfortable dining environment. I’ll definitely come back...
