Iโm writing this with great disappointment, as a long time loyal customer of Rawsha.
My family and I have always been fans of your restaurant. We truly love the food, the ambience, and have repeatedly chosen Rawsha for many of our gatherings. However, our recent experience tonight, Saturday, 14 June 2025, from 10:30pm to 12:00am, left us extremely upset and disheartened.
We were the last customers dining this night. While we understand your closing time is at 12:00am, we were still enjoying our Adani tea and unaware of the time. What deeply disappointed us was how your staff handled the situation.
Without any polite notice or communication, all the lights in the restaurant were turned off, except the one at our table. To make matters worse, one of our family members was still in the restroom at that time. A staff member then approached us with a visibly unpleasant expression, and without a word, started clearing our plates in a very abrupt and discourteous manner.
We understand and respect that staff need to prepare for closing, but there are far more professional and courteous ways to handle such situations. A simple, friendly reminder 10โ15 minutes before closing would have been more than enough.
As someone who also works in the F&B customer service industry, I was genuinely shocked. No customer deserves to be treated this way. Kindness, communication, and respect cost nothing, and I truly hope you will take this seriously and address it with your team.
Please consider this feedback as a sincere request to better train your staff in handling customers, especially during closing hours. We hope no other guest will have to leave Rawsha feeling the way we...
ย ย ย Read moreIf you find yourself in Penang and have a craving for exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine, Al Rashwa is the place to be. My family and I visited Al Rashwa twice in just three days, and we were blown away by the experience each time.
From the moment we stepped in, the staff's kindness and hospitality were evident. They welcomed us warmly, ensuring we felt right at home. The service was consistently attentive, making each visit memorable.
We made it a mission to sample the entire menu, and we were not disappointed. The variety and quality of the dishes were outstanding. From fresh salads to soups, kebabs, and perfectly crisp falafel, every dish was perfectly done and very tasty.
One of the highlights for us was the fried pan dishes, which were cooked to perfection with a delightful blend of spices and flavors. However, the absolute standout was the Cheese Sambossa. Crispy on the outside and oozing with melted cheese on the inside, it was pure culinary bliss. I highly recommend trying it if you visit.
In summary, Al Rashwa offers not just great food but an overall wonderful dining experience. It's a must-visit for anyone in Penang looking for delicious Middle Eastern cuisine served...
ย ย ย Read moreFabulous Middle Eastern food. The place has a lovely atmosphere with some good Arabic music playing in the background. Service was friendly, quick and attentive without being over enthusiastic.
The Lamb Kebab was very well grilled without taking away the moisture. The Fried Kubbah was delectable while the Chicken Mandy was pretty tasty with the rice cooked to perfection as was the meat ๐. However, the gravy that came with it had been watered down and that was a serious disappointment ๐. The big flop sadly was the Hummus which we found flat ๐๐ . We've had much better even in Penang. Something the guys in the kitchen should look into. The pot of Adani tea could have been a bit stronger and cut down a tad on the sugar. Tasted fine otherwise ๐.
We enjoyed our lunch greatly. The air-conditioning worked great. The place was neat and clean with a neatness that many such restaurants lack. We are coming back for sure, and will leave some space for dessert too. Well...
