Very disappointed and feeling frustration with the service at the Starbucks drive-thru in Tanjung Tokong. On thĂŠ 17th, I queued for a staggering 45 minutes just to reach the order machine. While I understand that long queues can be expected at times, what followed was completely unacceptable.
To my surprise, the operator informed me that I would need to wait for one hour just for a single drink. This information was not shared with us earlier, nor was it communicated while we were waiting in line. It begs the question, why make us endure the long wait if we were going to face an outrageously long waiting time for our orders?
Furthermore, I was shocked to learn that there was only one person working to make drinks that day. It is difficult to comprehend why, on a Sunday weekend, a busy time for most establishments, Starbucks would choose to allocate just one individual to handle customer orders. I am aware that Sundays are busy, but it is no excuse for such poor management. In stark contrast, McDonald's drive-thru, which I also frequently visit, exhibits much better efficiency and customer service.
I am an avid Starbucks customer and have always enjoyed the quality and atmosphere of your stores. However, this unfortunate experience has left me feeling dissatisfied and questioning whether Starbucks truly values its customers' time and experience. Waiting for 45 mins drive thru queue, 30mins to take payment , another 1 hour for a single drink is not only frustrating but also reflects poorly on the reputation of the brand.
I kindly request that you investigate this issue and take immediate steps to address the shortcomings in your service at the Tanjung Tokong location. It is my hope that no other customer will have to undergo such an unpleasant experience in the future.

The ambiance is undeniably cozy, and the layout gives off a relaxed, comfortable vibe that initially made me hopeful for a pleasant visit. The facilities are generally goodâthereâs enough seating, decent decor, and the location itself is quite inviting for anyone looking to spend time with friends or get some work done.
However, the service was a major letdown. The staff were extremely slow and inattentive. We had to wait far too long just to get a response after asking for a table to be cleaned. Shockingly, no one came to assist us, and we ended up moving to another table just so we could eat our food properly. Even then, the mess from previous customers remained untouched the entire time we were there. Itâs frustrating to see such a lack of basic hygiene and responsibility in a place that otherwise looks well-maintained.

I would like to make a serious complaint regarding what I believe is the worst Starbucks experience Iâve ever had, which took place at your outlet in Penang, Tanjung Tokong.
It was already past 8:30PM when I visited the store, yet the lights were still not turned on, creating a very dark and unwelcoming atmosphere. On top of that, the washroom was filthy, and the floor around the outlet was dirty as well. To make matters worse, I witnessed several staff chatting and joking loudly as if they were completely unaware of their responsibilities or the customers around them. Their attitude was very unprofessional, and it made us feel as if they thought they were the bosses and not usâthe paying customers.
It was truly disappointing to see such poor management and behavior from your staff. Whatâs more shocking is that I have seen previous complaints about this same location, yet nothing seems to have improved.
