The best ramen I have tasted so far, the broth is light and still full of flavours of pork bones, the portion is quite filling for a man (p.s. I drank all the broth), highly recommended for anyone who likes ramen
Gyoza is unexpectedly good too, their wrappers are thin, not like Chinese dumplings that are thicker, soft on the inside and a bit of crust on the outside, it tastes even better with a dip in vinegar too, but portion is definitely not enough for two for the price tho, its portion (in pieces) is written in their menu so order at your own discretion
Karaage is okay too, if you like karaage, do try it out, it's served hot and crispy, but portion as well for that price (also written in the menu)
Their menu now served only one ramen tho with some sides, heard that they will have other broths too in the near future but still no guarantee but just their signature tonkotsu broth is that delicious, I can't wait for more of their other broths too
Service is excellent, served by the owner I guess (John if I didn't hear wrongly), once we got in, after hearing the loud welcomeJapanese, he guided us to our seats and explained everything well, very kind and polite in all ways, when we are done eating and leaving, he also guided us out and also asked for feedback, this is unexpected for such a nice ramen place (just different from my stereotypical experiences that fancy place don't give a thing for you) so it's nice that they accept feedbacks, I could feel their sincerity like they have importance in their customer's experience eating there and also gladly seek improvements, coincidentally I like to give feedback too, so I definitely will give them a 10⭐ for that only
The atmosphere is nice and relaxing with Japanese designs, elements, and enough greenery but please do take care of the plants, some of it had turned yellow and wilted, located just a bit away from the busy area and jammed road so it's a lot better comparing in that area at Tanjung Tokong
Overall, a great experience for me, delicious ramen, love the broth so much, recommended to go try it out yourself

Came back a second time after a long while, tried their spicy ramen and tonkatsu curry don
Spicy ramen broth still as good as the last time before we mix it (thick, falvourful) and their spicy hits perfectly
Tonkatsu curry don tho... As a Japanese curry lover, the curry is thick but it's made to fit Malaysian taste (spicy kick to it) which I personally don't prefer, I like the original Japanese curry which is more sweet but still thick, and the tonkatsu itself is very hard (hard to chew), I think it's fried a bit too long as it's a bit brownish too, disappointed with the meat but taste wise is still okay
They have QR to scan to make order now but the order cannot go through as the POS got problem so I ordered myself in the front, that's totally fine with me
The atmosphere has improved with everything complete but just a feedback, the smoke and smell stays indoor and it's pretty strong, maybe need to work a bit on ventilation
Still, I would recommend to come for their ramen and chill here as it's away from main...
Read moreI was feeling a bit under the weather, and I wanted something hot and comforting for lunch. A few minutes of searching for a place with a good bowl of ramen led me to this hidden gem. Tucked away in Jalan Pantai Molek behind Starbucks, this is a place that's hidden from view unless one is specifically looking for it.
The restaurant is converted from a bungalow, and the exterior decor is a tasteful Japanese garden with an immaculately kept lawn and a pebbled walkway leading to 2 doors. Signboards are tastefully kept to a minimum, and one may feel apprehensive to approach the doors at first (hint: it's next to The Palm Cafe & Bistro). Stepping inside, the ambience was unescapably Japanese.
If you're looking for ramen, there are only 2 choices to make; pork (Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen) or beef (Omi beef A5 Wagyu Shoyu Ramen). Both ramen broth were clean and lightly flavored, and my preference after trying both was the Omi beef ramen. If you're looking for extremely thick and savory (salty) broth, this is not the right place. I was able to finish the whole bowl of ramen broth here without going into a sodium shock. I also ordered chicken karaage and gyoza; the chicken was expertly fried with a crispy outer layer, and a very juicy inside while the gyoza was a good accompaniment. The gyoza was served with yuzu vinegar which stripped away any gaminess from the pork filling, and it was a new and wonderful flavor experience for me. One nice thing to note as well is that the green tea is free-flow and self-service with a choice of hot or cold. Nice...
I loved my dining experience here, and I can't wait to...
Read moreThis is another good quality Japanese restaurant in Penang. We came to this Ramen restaurant but found out that there are another 3 sister restaurants/cafe next to each other. The restaurants are owned by the same Japanese boss.
The decoration of the restaurants are very nice and have strong Japanese feel. Unlike other restaurants in a shopping mall, it makes you feel peaceful and relax.
We tried the signature Omi Beef A5 Wagyu Shoyu Ramen. The price is reasonable. The Wagyu (Omi) beef originated from the Shiga Prefecture, Japan, which is very nice. The ramen is made by the chef at the restaurant everyday.
We also tried the Syabuyaki Don. It was excellent too. The set came with a side dish and free flow of soup and drink (green tea) (wow!)
The Takoyaki Octopus Balls are very tasty, Yum! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
The chef told us that they imported the whole cow from Kyoto. The best parts will be used for Omasake. The others will be used for BBQ Restaurant, making meat balls, soups, etc. The whole cow will be fully utilised.
We will come again for the Omakase, and BBQ.
Last but not the least, is a Palm Cafe and Bristo, which serves western food. We will also come to try the coffee and snacks.
The staff are extremely friendly and we felt being welcomed. The staff, Ash showed us around the restaurants and told us the background of the...
