It's my first time visiting and I came here for supper. There were not much people at this hour but after some consideration, I somehow decided to come n' give it a try. Some foods that we were interested in was not availible, so I decided to try out some other dishes. Ordered some sort of asam prawn, siu yuk (the chicken) and some curry fish maybe? (Forgotten the name). Took not long for the dishes to arrive.
The siu yuk is an must-try as the meat is tender and the skin is crispy aswell. You will also smell the aroma of the chicken. It is also one of their most popular dishes.
The next one is the asam prawn. The sambal was not too spicy, and it is a great combo with the Bitter beans and the prawn. The spicy, bitter and seafood taste all into your mouth at once.
The final dish I ordered was that curry fish with some fishballs. Honestly nothing much to say bout it but I find the taste not bad.
I was taken aback by the bill once I went to the counter, It was cheaper than I expected it to be. This restaurant is a very great choice for you to enjoy your food with a...

Slow slow slow…. Disappointed in the waiting and ignorance of staff.
Ordered the food and told by one of the staff “please sit and I’ll send your TA when it’s done”. Sit and waited. More customers come in right after I ordered. 2-3 tables that come after me got their food but my order still not yet sent (I only order 1 roast pork rice, how long does it take to prepare?) I asked one of the server about my food and he said please wait. So I waited but it takes time for him to get back and send me wrong order. After checking my bill he took an order by the side that sits there for so long and gives it to me.
I know aunt Q from last time is famous for their long waiting time but roast pork rice to wait for 30mins is ridiculous.
I feel maybe cause my single order I’m just not important, or maybe I should bug them and ask them the whole time is my order ready.
Staff nvr apologise for me to wait this long, maybe it’s a norm.
Overall - I said it last round (last 1-2yrars back not coming back) wouldn’t come back for the food. Food dine in is OK but TA is...
Read moreTheir specialty is crispy roasted pork belly aka sio bak or siu yuk, so expect to see this dish prominently featured in all their menu items ranging from appetizers to main meals. I ordered the dry wan tan noodle with siu yuk and was very pleased with the dish. The noodles were springy, and lightly seasoned without excessive dark, caramel sauce. The crispy roasted pork had my preferred skin, fat and meat ratio of 10/20/70, and the skin was crispy as advertised.
I also ordered a side of guang jiang which is a deep fried bean curd roll with shredded yam and peanut filling. With each bite, I am first rewarded with a light crunch when my teeth come in contact with the crispy but delicate bean curd skin, and this is quickly followed by the fluffy shredded yam filling that's accentuated with crunchy peanuts. This is a masterpiece of texture and taste in my opinion.
In addition to tasty local fare, they also have various promotion for beers, and surprisingly local toddy (palm wine). Definitely a place I recommend checking out for lunch or dinner if you're in...
