Toastea Coffee is the perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The thick-cut toast is incredibly satisfying—crispy on the outside and soft inside. I especially loved the kaya butter and butter sugar toast, which brought back nostalgic childhood flavors. Their local dishes like the Nasi Lemak and Taiwanese braised pork rice were hearty, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The cafe is busy during breakfast time. I had the Kaya toast (the Kaya is homemade by a friend of the owner's mother), Peanut Butter toast and Nissin noodles. The food is pretty good, you can tell that it is prepared with more care than some other local breakfast places. The price is much higher than those places, but not as expensive as cafes serving western fare. The tables are arranged quite closely to each other, so not very conducive for private chats. I’ve been coming here for over 2 years now, and it’s still one of my favourite places to eat. They serve a wide variety of toasts, drinks, and snacks for breakfast (and all day long!), and everything is consistently delicious.

Their rice dishes are also worth trying full of flavour and really satisfying. Prices are reasonable, portions are good, and the quality has never disappointed me.
