US PIZZA - Summerton — Restaurant in George Town

We went to this restaurant with two kids, we were seldom visited this area for long time and we decided to select a restaurant for our dinner, this is the restaurant will stay in our memory and discussion for long time. When we just entered this restaurant, there was some unpleasant smell nearly stop us for having dinner here, but we had promised our kids for a pizza meal, therefore we left no choice and ordered, the staff seem no experience with dine in order, they took quite long for taking order and receiving payment (the bill is paid before food served). Overall, they serving speed and taste consider fine, but there is hygiene issues with the shop, their toilets is really dirty that I would rather wait to return home. The kitchen is opposite the toilet that we could see their kitchen condition, which also in serious hygiene issues, there was just a mess. On the way from dining area to toilet, there is a narrow pathway, we can see the pizza delivery boxes were putting there unattend, the area also is dirty and mess, which I am doubt whether the boxes are safe for food. After visited this restaurant, we feel that the other restaurant we visited could be considered clean and neat. We would never visited this restaurant anymore, and even delivery based on this visit, because their hygiene control is really too much below our...

I have been to almost all US Pizza outlets in Penang. I noticed all the workers are foreigners . From making the food to the cashier. Now i don't have a problem with foreigners working in food outlets, but please maintain a hygienic environment 🙏 im not writing baseless complaint. Many a times i have seen with my own eyes the workers scratching part of their body , digging nose then straight away handling food. Even today. No gloves present. I noticed the same situation before but i decide not to make a fuss about it. Foreign workers or local everyone should maintain hygiene environment. Its food we are talking about. Many loyal customers are ordering online . They wouldn't know what is happening in the restaurant. Not only this outlet , even pulau tikus, and other place i dont remember. Please make sure your staffs are following proper food handling...

We had a Ramadhan buffet here. 39 for adult, 19.50 for kids. They have pizza, pasta with the choices of carbonara or bolognese sauce, mushroom soup, cakes, onion rings, fries and bread. Pizza and mushroom soup 8/10. Pasta and fries are 2/10 and that is me being generous. The sauce is okay, but the pasta itself is undercooked. It's like eating mamee monster soaked in carbonara sauce... Not a recommended sensation. The first batch of fries is not something you want to try with a weak jaw. It's overcooked, no sugar coating it. Should've give this a 2 stars, but in the spirit of Ramadhan, I give an extra star for the staff....
