If you're a fish lover with a taste for fresh seafood and a weakness for a good view, Blue Reef Fish & Chips in Penang might just reel you in for good. This little gem serves up some seriously superb seafood – the kind that makes you pause mid-bite just to nod in satisfaction.
The food? Absolutely spot on. Crispy, golden batter with perfectly cooked fish that flakes just right. Every dish we tried was delicious – not a soggy chip or chewy bite in sight. It's the kind of meal that has you wondering if it's socially acceptable to dine here every day (spoiler: it absolutely is).

The café overlooks the quay, where yachts bob gently in the breeze, adding just the right dose of coastal charm to your dining experience.
All in all, Blue Reef delivers big on flavour, freshness, and atmosphere. Come for the fish, stay for the view – and don’t be surprised if you’re already planning your return visit before the...

From the moment we walked in, the experience was wonderful&friendly service, a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, and the most delicious food. You absolutely must try the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips. The fish was incredibly fresh, flaky, and tender, encased in a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. It was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The chips were seasoned just right, making for a superb traditional meal. We also sampled the Seafood Galore, which was an excellent platter for sharing and showcased the quality of all their ingredients. The service staff were consistently attentive, polite, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. The ambient lighting and the overall clean, hip feel of the restaurant make it a fantastic place for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. If you're looking for authentic, high quality fish and chips (and great seafood in general!) in a great spot, this is the place. It's excellent value for money and a true hidden gem. We're already planning...
