Full Of Beans — Restaurant in George Town

During my three-week stay in Penang, Full of Beans became a go-to spot for my family and me. We kept returning for their consistently delicious drinks and cakes, but what really stood out was the exceptional service.

We tried a variety of their offerings—oat lattes, chocolate drinks, teas, and honey lemon drinks—all of which were perfectly crafted. Their cakes were equally delightful; the carrot cake was a favorite, but the rum & raisin crepe and chocolate cakes were also excellent.

What made the experience truly special, though, was the warmth of the staff. On my mother-in-law’s birthday, they went above and beyond. Despite a heavy downpour, they graciously stayed open a little longer to surprise her with a cake with a lit candle and even sang “Happy Birthday,” which helped made her day unforgettable.

Full of Beans is not just a place for good coffee and treats; it’s a spot where hospitality and thoughtfulness make you feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone...

I absolutely love Full of Beans! Their coffee is definitely better from other coffee shop that I had tried in Penang. And this is the first coffee shop in Penang that truly delivers on quality (and my expectations) ☺️

I've tried so many places here, but honestly, most cappuccinos and barista-style coffee are just terrible. After some friends recommended trying local-style coffee or a simple Americano, I was about to give up.

But thank god I found this place! Their coffee is surprisingly good!

The vibe here is great for working, though if you prefer an indoor space, be aware that the tables are a bit low for comfort. But no worries – the outdoor seating is perfect! It's quiet enough to focus while enjoying your cup of coffee.

Been wanting to try out the coffee at this cafe for awhile now. Quite an interesting and diverse menu with a number of selections in brewing methods in addition to the well-known espresso coffees. I had their hot americano and was pleasantly surprised at the high acidity and fruity cup. This isn't the usual "bitter" or "full bodied" coffee that many people would expect from an americano, so take note of that! Upon further enquiry, I found it that the coffee for my cup is a single-origin coffee from Costa Rica.
