Read moreJust went there yesterday for a family get together dinner and it was far beyond my expectation.
It's located at the corner of Straits Quay just beside the EnO visitor centre so it's easy to find. A very authentic yet traditional chinese restaurant.
It's interior lines with traditional Chinese wallpapers and ambient lightings, adding warmth and soothing for the customers. We were told to make a reservation beforehand as it would be full very soon. For weekend's dinner, it is advisable to go just before 7pm to get a seat. With nice view beside the dock of yachts ⛵ , it surely offfers a picturesque photographic spot.
It has a wide variety of choices from it's menu featuring fish ,chicken, pork, prawns 🦐, and much more. It's signature dish is its chicken (甕窯雞) 🍗 which comes with a salted spice powder and sauce to dip into the chicken meat. It's truly delicious! The other dishes we had as well were vege soup with salted egg and century egg which has a cooking wine aroma and a good choice of soup. The curry fish 🐟is tender and it has quite a large portion. The rice vermicelli with pork knuckles is also a must try. It's very tender and the noodles absorb all the juices of the braised pork knuckles. The salted egg fried tofu ( 黄金豆腐) is also labeled as one of their specialties with a crunchy crust and soft inside. Generous portions of salted egg paste were also layered on the fried tofu. There was also a seafood claypot dish with mushrooms 🍄 , broccoli 🥦 and braised pork hamstring. It's so mouth watering. The service was excellent and the food came quite fast though packed with people. The pricing is affordable and the portions are big, suitable for people with big appetite. A really must...
Read moreVisited for 2nd time for celebration. The service was terrible.
Upon arrival, we were informed by the supervision to enter the indoor dinning table. There was a lady service crew who asked us any reservation made and why we are entering. Once we entered the indoor dinning area, she just let us to stand and wait for further instruction to check with supervisor which table to sit. Excuse me, we are blocking the entrance and why we can't stand outside until u have clear instruction to get us seated?
The lady service crew served us impolite, and showed her dissatisfaction attitude towards us. When we ordering the dishes and drinks, where the beverages is out of stock, instead of telling us in well manner, she just told me no stock and giving me the evil eyes.
Order list was thrown on the table and not placed on the table. Understand that every service crew was busy during dinner time, but please bear in mind, u are representing yr restaurant, why have to throw the order list on the table? And yet all the service crew still got free time to chit chat around.
This is a birthday celebration and I don't understand why my birthday cake is not served by the service crew instead of just put it on the table and let us to unwrap it while I have informed the service crew to help me serve the cake on the table.
Overall, this is a very bad experienced to dine in. Food and taste getting worst compare...
