Bread History (Queensbay Mall) — Restaurant in George Town

I ordered a customised cake from Bread History with clear instructions and reference pictures (see first photo for expectation). Unfortunately, the actual cake (second photo) was disappointing.

The strawberries on top, especially the ones highlighted in the blue circle, were uneven in shape and did not look fresh or presentable. The staff was recommended a “Happy Birthday” topper as shown in the reference, but a different topper was used instead. Overall, the cake design did not fully match the details I asked for.

For a special occasion, attention to detail is very important, but this experience was below expectations. I hope Bread History can improve on quality control and follow customer requests more carefully...

Visited this bakery recently and left extremely disappointed. A very strategic lot in Queensbay.(near to the basement Carpark entrance) First off, the bread was dry, dense, definitely not fresh, and certainly not worth the price. It was stuffy and lacked the soft textures you'd expect from a bakery.

the customer service was just as stale. I approached one of the counters (both of which were empty), only to be told to move to the other one with no explanation or politeness. It felt unnecessary to me.

The attitude of the cashier is really bad. 13/8,12.30pm a male cashier!!

The layout between the cakes rack and cashier is L shape. I'm aiming for the birthday cake, which got two inches. Thus, I ordered at counter and refer as small rainbow cake. He brought a piece of cake, and I tried to tell him not this size, is the small inches one and he "zuk" at me and roll his eyes on me. Hello, as a service you are the one need to ask before you take!
